Ah, I see this place is still infested
With fanficcers, that is. Christ I’ve been gone for a long time, and there still isn’t at least a fiction section. Shall we all refresh our minds about what a blog is?
Webster’s New Millennium Dictionary of English:
Main Entry: blog (n.)
Definition: to author an online diary or chronology of thoughts.
Definition: an online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called Weblog, Web log.
Definition: a personal Web site that provides updated headlines and news articles of other sites that are of interest to the user, also may include journal entries, commentaries and recommendations compiled by the user; also written web log, Weblog; also called blog
Definition: a shared on-line journal where people can post diary entries about their personal experiences and hobbies
Here, not there
Thanks for posting artwork, fanfics and essays/poetry to the MMOTales site. That’s exactly where it belongs.
No, it doesn’t belong at fanfiction.net, nor at fictionpress.com, or even at deviantart.com. It belongs here. I’m sorry that I never realized this, but you’re right, we shouldn’t post anything like that there, it all belongs here.
Artists at MMOTales?
Something I read on a forum topic ( link ) tells me that artists actually frequent this place? (I mean, aside from me -_-) Do leave a note here if you are one of them! I want to see your art D: There isn’t enough good maple story fanart. . . at least I haven’t found a lot (not that I’ve really looked that hard, nor that there was anything that encouraged the search). . .
Follow up
Okay apparently everyone just thinks I’m some hacker-hunter fanatic person who spends all her time looking for hackers instead of training. No, I’m looking for an open channel to train on and most of them are filled with hackers vaccing offscreen or on. The last entry had an exposition, it wasn’t just some bunch of facts for you to dissect. It’s called building up to the point of it all.
More losers to report (Broa Hackers)
First screenshot: Lvl35 Bandit vaccing ratz on Eos 99th floor.
Second & Third screenshot: Lvl37 Fighter with fly hack and vac hack (probably godmode too) in right corner of Ant Tunnel IV.
Before any of you pro-hacker noobs start whining about how I wasn’t even training at eos or ant tunnel or whatever, just know that my guild-mate Gina was training at Ratz and so I went to help. I don’t care what you have to say.
Hacker: Redeadning caught vaccing, broa
I saw her again, she’s still not banned. Wth, Wizet?
WORST BasilMarket Auction Experience.
I’ll take a stab at it: ATTN MRBASIL. Anyway, I’m sure you’ve all had a bad experience with an auction scammer or someone who avoids you in Maple so that you can’t do the trade and exchange feedback, or someone who had ended up getting that item or sold the item you bought to someone else and politely asked you if it was okay if you both exchanged neutral/positive feedback despite what had happened, but I don’t think you’ve had an experience like this one.
[Story Title Here] Part [#]!
There seems to be a lot of RP blogs going on, people writing more of an actual story dramaticized with third person POV and actual plot (onoes!) than a blog entry about their training or how they met a scammer. Maybe they should get their own Category… I don’t feel like sifting through blogs that have chapters in order to find something else that interests me.
My definition of “Noob”
Well it isn’t a rant but it will be. Many people use the term “noob” to describe some of those who play Maple Story, as well as other MMO’s and FPS’s (it is a common noun and can be used outside of the gaming context), however when I call someone that, many take the wrong offense.
Newb; Noob; n00b; nooblet; noobz0r etc.
adj. nooby, noobish..
1. Online term for “newbie,” someone who is new to something (game, event).
2. In MMOs, a low level character, usually lower than the person calling them a noob.
3. In Maple Story, someone who, usually below level 20, walks around asking for free money, free items, or asking if you can train them because they’re too lazy to do it themself.
4. Someone who doesn’t know how to play and gets fragged (killed) often with zero or negative kills.
5. Someone who is incredibly, annoyingly stupid. Not restricted to a certain level, this can include:
a. A person who, as soon as you sign on or come to a channel with monsters in it, says “cc plz” or something similar, even though you said/did nothing.
b. A person who comes to the channel you are training on and starts/continues to ks you.
c. A person who gets extremely pissed off if you openly state you have a problem with their attitude, grammar and or courtesy (or lack thereof). They usually need anger management.
d. A person who, if called a noob for one of the above stated reasons, gets very offended and starts to list out all their “High level” characters and all their connections (guilds, other “pros", threatening and, as they hope, scaring you into submission.
e. A person who calls themself a pro (and may not like it if you do not bow to them accordingly).
f. Last but not least, hackers. Because they can’t just train their characters themself, they have to vac to an appropriate level (directly proportionate to their ego).
g. Secondly last but not least, those who may not hack but have a problem with you hating them. They like to befriend and take advantage of hackers and others, selfishly only to get themselves further in the game, and are no better than the rest of the noobs stated.
h. Oh! Almost forgot those people who try so hard to insult you when they can’t even spell the names they are trying to call you
