Frankly, I am quite pissed with overcrowding in Maple Story. It used to be the only problematic for the Aquila server, but apparently Bootes is getting quite crammed too. Totally not good at all.

This was the reason why my crusader is semi-retired, actually. I just couldn’t find some place to train at all. At mixed golem maps, I often get “no slots, sry”. Sometimes I don’t even get a reply. The only time period in which I could reasonably find a slot in MG maps is from 1am to 6am, and I sure ain’t gonna sacrifice sleep for “play”. read more

Eh, it’s been rather long since I last updated. If anybody wants to know, it’s cus I’d been fooling around in Hellgate: London. Nice game, but rather glitchy. Basically, it’s 3D Diablo set in futuristic times. I didn’t quite like the story plot, but the PVP system is rather good. I suppose it’s worth the 60$ SGD I spent on it. read more

Woohooo~! First time blogging here after bout 3 months of absence due to a huge school workload. Was almost afraid my account got deleted or something.

Anyway, I levelled to 71, somehow skipping 3 levels from my last blog til now. Crusaders rock, even if we don’t get any new attack skills like dragon knights. Well, it does make training a bit more boring and repetitive, but you get to play around more with fun (abit useless) skills. read more

Everyone in MapleSEA is hunting for them. The ever elusive snowboards, once again released into the MapleSEA world. However, there’s a difference this time; with the first ever appearance of the Super Snowboard, arguably this best of all snowboards.

Stats are as follows: 85 atk, 85 matk, 20 speed, lvl limit 70.

This makes the Super Snowboard not only a luxury item of prestige and power, it also makes it battle capable for spearman and magician classes. Of course, there’s always a catch. The Super Snowboard cannot be hunted from monsters, it must be made from other snowboards. To be more specific, one of each kind of snowboard available must be sacrificed to the Maple Adminstrator to create the Super Snowboard. So that’s 1 sky, 1 aqua, 1 silver, 1 gold, 1 dark and 1 blood snowboard gone. read more

While waiting for the patch to be done, I decided to spend my time writing yet another pointless blog.

A quick check of the Delphinus World Rankings reveals that the top player has hit lvl 102. Considering that Delphinus is only around for about 2 weeks or so, this is rather surprising. Of course, it isn’t impossible. Delphinus has 2x exp slots for the whole of December, and buying a 2x exp card will increase exp gain to 4x the usual. If you are rich enough, you could also play Maple Story at PCBunk for 2.50$ an hour, getting the maximum boost of 4.8x exp. Admittedly, you must be either seriously loaded or totally lacking in life to go to such lengths for such high rankings, but meh. Its their choice and I have no say in it whatsoever. read more

Its actually a pretty fun place. Yes, I know, there are only 3 quests, the rewards kinda suck, and there are no new monsters to whack.

The joy lies in hanging out with your friends at the Christmas Trees. It was pretty fun, using alphabets to spell out Christmas Greetings, confessions to loved ones and the like. I was camping in Bootes, channel 13, Metal Bucket Snowman, Tree no.2 for 4 hours with my friends if anyone wants to know ^^. read more

I was surfing the Henesys Hunting Ground 1 channels with my friend because we were both bored and all (this happens quite a lot of times). During this, I came to a great realization: half of the HHG1 population are 3rd job people in newb disguise. Everyday, there was either a dragon knight roaring away, a priest spamming shining ray or some hermit using avenger to ks newbies. Thus, if you are a lvl 1x newbie looking for spots to train, don’t ever go to HHG1. read more

Well, I was training my friend’s cleric at Platoon Chronos, so I decided to write up this blog due to boredom.

Platoon Chronos have roughly 1.8k hp and gives 99 exp. The map consists of 6 platforms and 1 long flat ground at the bottom. As you can probably infer, the monsters tend to spawn in clusters. This is good for characters with Area of Effect (AOE) spells, which means lightning wizards or clerics. Other classes probably wouldn’t fare so well here. read more
