So, I have a friend by the name of Will Durant. I won’t lie. I will tell you right now that he is possibly one of the worst writers to ever take a breath. However, I just finished reading a volume in his Story of Civilization, “The Establishment of Civilization”. The main concepts of this are the “Elements of Civilization”, which are respectively: Economic, Political, Moral, Religious, and Mental.
YES. SUPERBOWL TIME. Personally, I’m rooting for the Giants. However, I’m depending on some scoring from the Pats as well, seeing that I placed my bet to be over 54…
Anyway, another good old Metrolink “thought” blog. Yes, it’s about football and more, too! How very exciting. Anyway, I’m going to make this quick since I’m dying to watch the game.
A few weeks ago, my little cousin came over. With him, was the DVD, Monster House. He really wanted to watch it, so I thought, “What the hell. I never finished it anyway.” Well, the character that really killed me was Chowder. Chowder, what a name. With a name like that, you can implement a few good assumptions, if you know what I mean.
Now that you know the background of my blog, I’ll briefly explain my title. At the near end of the movie, Chowder and DJ get hugged by Jenny (at the same time). Afterwards, Chowder says to DJ, “She grabbed my butt.” And yeah, DJ does the typical “F7” face. So now, you don’t have to go “VVtf, Metro. Your title is random. GTFO.”
Alright, it’s Metrolink storytime. However, before I get anywhere, I’d like to say instead of studying for Physiology today, I was toying around with my desktop and… I made something NEW! Yeah, it took quite a bit of time to figure out (disregarding the theme, which I got off Firefox’s compilations to use as a basis). I know, I know. Procrastination is bad, but we all do it. I’m gonna get crackin’ after this blog.
I’ll keep it short and sweet tonight, seeing as how I have finals to study for.
I, personally, have not been paying attention to the presidential debates and such. However, I’ve noticed that people on Maple Story have been talking about it. This isn’t really a good thing, not in my opinion, at least. The things that come out of their chat bubbles really bring out their fatuity because most of it, if not all, is rubbish.
Exploitation: The Art of Saying, “Hah! In your face!”
What is exploitation?
“Wiktionary” said: “1. (transitive) To use for one’s own advantage.”
Many of you might know of exploitations as heroic deeds, which they truly are. However, today, I’ll be talking about the quoted denotation.
Take it from me. You may think that exploiters (such as entrepreneurs and business tycoons) hold a place in society as the epitome of all that’s wrong with a person (because they are seemingly selfish and greedy). Though, we hate it when people exploit our idiocy or lack of integrity, our lives revolve around it. Don’t get me wrong, there are more pleasant “features” you can exploit, but that’s not really important. Oh, and we all exploit people (it’s human nature) in various ways, even if we’re not aware of it.
First and foremost, I’d like to acknowledge Nexon for taking charge. Though, I’m not very fond of the organization, I’ll give them credit for doing what’s needed to be done.
However, there have been things pestering me for a very long time. i chose not to speak of it because it didn’t really concern me when I first realized it but I guess I’ll just say it now.
I’m pretty sure we all know Rick Astley, but that’s not the point of this blog. Not yet, at least. Oh, and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, New Year, and Kwanzaa (whatever the hell that is).
Hmm, so I’ve made a temporary return to MapleStory. Just for a little because I need some relief from my current situations in the real world (which have not been resolved). I just feel like writing a little before I head to bed. Vent and whatnot. Anyway, the following won’t be too exciting. I’m pretty sure you’ll get bored out of your mind. Keh, I can’t think straight right now.
I’m back after the longest hiatus (I didn’t plan on returning) ever. Anyway, I want to first say this. Even though I was never a big part of the MMOTales community, I enjoyed my time on it and EVERYBODY on it.
I just want to say that MMOTales holds a place in my head. A good place. It’s peaceful. It’s a place I can turn to just to make my day better. It’s not all hyped up such as Profil3 and BasilMarket. It’s a smalltown place and that’s what I like most about it.
Finally after going through all that boredom, I reached level 70 and became a White Knight around 6 hours ago. Now, I feel sexier than ever. I had something long I had planned to write but I forgot and I’m half asleep at the moment. Well, I just wanted to tell the world this because I feel great.
