Aiken (Chapter 3)

It had been two weeks since Aiken had become a rogue. More importantly, two weeks since he had been hungry. Ever since he had become a rogue, he had gotten far better in combat. Whether it was the job advancement itself, or the intense devotion to training, he did not know, but all he needed to know was that as long as he kept it up, he would never have to go back to living in poverty. Through rigorous practice, he got faster, stronger, and more disciplined. He would devote hours to repeating a series of all the basic formations and perfecting strings of attacks. read more

The Confused Philosopher (3)

When I went to El Nath, I was like “Hey, a Yeti! Let’s give it some pop-tarts!” But fore some reason, perhaps my friend who was lodging sharp metal objects in it, the Yeti killed me. I’ve learned to never try to share my pop-tarts.

I don’t see the point of actually doing all the stages in the Ludibrium PQ. It would be a LOT easier to just build your way up to the bonus stage! read more

Are 10% scrolls ever worth using?

Mages have “Thunderspear” and bow/arrow attacks, and Archers and White Knights both have elemental attacks. Also, Chief Bandits and mages copied “Magic Guard/Meso Guard” and “Explosion/Meso Explosion.” So who’s the REAL wannabe?!?!

The umbrellas can’t stop archers from KSing newbs with “Arrow Rain,” can they? read more

Present Colours

If anyone has any information as to which monster drops a blue/white present (preferably a first-hand experience), can you please tell me? Also, where do you get the pieces of the altar (or something along those lines)? I’d like to get that… Thing… That raises magic by 120 or seomthing…

Btw, does anyone know why there’s a silhouette of a wolf at the top left of the pages on MMO? read more

Buying game accounts

Sure, everyone wants to fool around with meso explosion, or show off with dragon roar. Although I don’t have first-hand experience, I think it’s safe to say that playing on a 3rd job character is considerably more enjoyable than training fruitlessly for hours on a level 27. But are you willing to pay hundreds of dollars just for that? read more

Aiken (Chapter 2)

It had been a week since Aiken’s friends had visited him. The food that they had brought lasted only until two days ago, and he was starving once again. He settled on becoming a thief, for the Dark Lord was closer to him, as opposed to Grendel, who was all the way in Ellinia. He would have to do it today, before hunger made him too weak and sluggish to qualify him as a thief. After looking around in desperation for anything that qualified as “food,” even with the knowledge that he would find nothing. read more

Aiken (Chapter 1)

Aiken watched in amazement as a chief bandit executed a series of attacks upon a Jr. Balrog, and rather than finishing it by continuing to barrage it with stabs, retreated to a corner. The Balrog, taking advantage of the cease-fire, advanced upon the thief, eager to devour this nuisance once and for all. Or so it would have, because the Chief Bandit, with a satisfied smirk, detonated the sack of mesos and obliterated the Balrog as if it were a snail. Aiken then went back and replayed the last bit of the video in slo-mo. In another window, there was a video of a mage hurl a spear of electricity through a gigantic mushroom, which resulted in a fair amount of carnage and one of the much sought-after Ilbis. read more

Should i just try it?

I’m thinking of writing (fine, TYPING -_-) a story, since I’ve read quite a few, and they’re actually good, and don’t conform to maplestory to the point of nerdiness (for example, referring to the skills themselves, or the endurance of supportive skills, etc). OMG, I’m already starting to go off topic! Anyways, I was thinking of starting with a boy who can’t choose between being a magician and a thief, and trains himself in both disciplines. Soon, he becomes obsessed with escalating his powers to exceed that of a “normal” thief or magician, and consequently, masters all 1st and 2nd job skills (will generally be referred to by the skill’s effect rather than name). He will be stretching his ingenuity and concentration to the limit to make the most use of his skills for a while, and- read more
