This is by far my favourite chapter out of everything I have accomplished so I decided to rewrite it.
I suppose I am unwilling to let go of the remnants that remain >.>

CHAPTER 7 PART 1

My life, over the brief period of a few days, had taken such a detrimental course into the depths of despondence I could almost laugh it off as some ludicrous joke. My debilitated mind, distraught to the last cell, no longer even understood the meaning of ambition. read more

From afar he appeared fine, but inside his aching heart had been shattered into a million insignificant pieces. His soul had been enveloped in an inferno of searing heat and despite the lack of a physical body the repulsing pain of the hellish flames pierced him with venomous strikes, plunging him into an abyssal sea of pain. Oh how he burned. Oh how he burned in it. In desperation he screamed for someone to alleviate his suffering but it was for naught; he could manage nothing more than a timid whimper. He had been tied down and barred from movement in solitary confinement as the intense fires assailed him like a lacination of deadly sharp spears into his fragile body. He was lost, he was afraid, yet he was helpless as nobody cared. Down in the deepest shafts he wailed into a bitter emptiness with only his echoes to accompany him as the molten walls mocked and taunted his pleas with sadistic snarls. The blazes shredded his limbs and ripped out his lungs inside mercilessly, reducing his last hopes of salvation to none. No matter how brave he tried to appear, the sorrow in his heart devastated his spirits and he was inclined to believe it was all just a pathetic facade. To him happiness was but a superficiality. He badly needed someone to open up to; someone to comfort and console him, but his dream was so distant and so impossible to reach. Why? Why did he still bother fighting on when his life was solely dominated by the drudges of morbidity? Was there really a need to struggle that hopeless war when everything and everyone he knew condemned his needs as fallacies of pretense? Perhaps there really was no silver lining in any freaking clouds of his life. Yes that phrase was just a useless psychological placebo. Disbelievingly he tried to think of an alternative solution to end his sorrow but there were none. Was surrendering and giving up to his fate the only choice he could make? He would have liked to laugh at that thought and shove it away like how everyone else did but it was a sad reality. For now, for a long time to come, for eternity, he was to be unfeeling and emotionally dead. read more

When I first played it only a mere three months ago everyone was so nice. In fact I was impressed as comparing the attitudes and maturity of the other users around me, it was so much more pleasant than MapleSEA. But now, I might have to change that perspective. read more

PROLOGUE

A lone figure trekked amongst the barren wasteland. Trudging carefully, the poor girl, not even in her adolescent years yet, barely darted past a mass of hazardous stones, their cold venomous glares aimed at her with much abhorrence.

Yep I’ve finally decided to abandon this horrible game once and for all, and it is not because I was hacked. Chancing upon that devious miscreant was only a minority in this. Cogitating over the unfortunate turn of events in the recent months, I realised that all this while I had been wrongly blaming my gullibility as the cause of my downfall. Staring blankly at the computer screen each time I opened Maple Story, my beloved fire mage idling away on the screen without his pots nor scrolled equipment to train with, I would just curse my stupidity in a fit of rage and close the game moodily. read more

Version 1.01: Fixed a minor mistake with the fire wizard skill build, mistakes spotted by EpicTales. Also added a 4th point under starting tips.
Version 1.02: Added a new section, Guide Terms, and added a new note under it.
Version 1.03: Added a 5th point under starting tips.
Version 1.04: Added the Male Boss under the Boss Monsters You Can Try section.
Version 1.05: Made small changes to the Poison Myst skill build, added variations for the Explosion skill build. Mistakes spotted by Paterack7.
Version 1.06: Changed the Explosion and Poison Myst skill builds slightly. I decided it is best to leave seal at 19. Added a variation for the Poison Myst skill build.

Version 1.08: Fixed the ‘About me’ section. I guess it took me long enough to realise it wasn’t there despite being stated in the content page. Also added a section containing excellent fire mage videos I have found on YouTube. I’ll get back to asking the producers of the videos for permission later.
