What are these mysterious helms of the deep? They are Zakum Helmets (1). They add somewhere between 13-17 of each stat, depending on how good it is. It has 10 slots, 15x m. def and w. def, and has a level requirement of 50. Zhelms drop from Zakum, the dreaded boss with 3 bodies and 8 arms in the Alter of Zakum (El Nath/Dead Mine). It is immensely hard to take on. However, after you kill the 3rd body, you are guaranteed to see it drop several bags of money, 2-5 Zhelms, and various equips.

The most common way to obtain a Zhelm is to either buy it or earn it.
To buy it is to pay the guild a certain amount of money in order to guarantee that you will receive a Zhelm. A VIP=usually first, or near first, or bumped up to first, but usually more expensive.
The other way is to earn it. To earn it, you go on several Zruns (Zakum runs) with a guild and eventually receive one as a gift for all your hard work fighting Zakum many times to give the guild a good reputation and more mesos. However there is also the much harder way: You actually solo Zakum. It is recommended you are level 140+, otherwise you have a high chance of failure. This is the ‘true’ way to earn it, but is insanely hard. You just pick up the drops after you kill Zakum. . Still, maybe you could party up with some of your high leveled friends, so everybody gets a Zhelm. Your choice.
