Sharing Accounts Kills.

I’m personally just disgusted with people who share accounts to train their main characters. From too many personal experiences, it’s always turned down for the worst.

1) It’s just stupid! Stop being lazy!
2) It’s DANGEROUS. Something bad will always happen.
3) Things to watch out for before giving out account info.

POINT ONE::
Hey! You! Stop being lazy!
This is your main character! What are you doing letting a friend borrow it?!
YOURS. Have some pride! Train it for yourself!
Do you know how pathetic it is for someone to go, “Oh yeah, I’m level 83. By the way, my friend trains this character while I sleep, so don’t talk to him.”
And… I actually had someone ask me this, “Alright guys, I gotta go afk and take a shower. Does anyone want to get onto my acc and train for me? PLZZZZ?!?”
Training isn’t everything. Remember, MS is for having fun! Stop caring about those ranks and chillax, make some friends. Actually enjoy these hours you spend on your computer.
Sharing accounts just to train is stupid. It makes you seem lazy and selfish, and I bet you aren’t even really having fun if someone gets your level 69 to level 70 without you.

POINT TWO::
It’s HELLA DANGEROUS.
You never know what that person will do on your account or with the information, and a lot of times you really can’t trust them.
Think about it. Someone with your account can do anything without their name, but yours. They can take things, do things, use things, sell things, buy things, say things.
Humans betray. Humans are selfish. You can’t stop instincts like that, but you can prevent them from trying.

I’m a Windian player, so I’ll take some examples I know.

ClericMD : Was a level 6x cleric. He lent his account to a friend during his vacation. His friend was caught hacking, and got banned. (For proof, just ask his brother HellCast about it.)

G4FRoboMage : He was one of the most famous hacker hunters in Windia. However, he let his friend borrow his character to train him, and was caught on video vac-hacking. Hypocrite, no, but his friend was just unlucky. Doomed to true accusations, Robo has now quit MS. (For proof, I’m sure there’s a thread about it on games4fans.com or just look up G4Frobomage on youtube.com)

OGunslinger : My favorite example. She had a terrible attitude that made everyone hate her, but lent her account to everyone who could train it while she afk’d.
Well, that personality made the person she shared it with hate her, and that person completely hijacked her account. He took all her stuff and gave it to his friends, clearing her whole inventory, money, suiciding her experience away. If he had known her birthday, he would’ve deleted her character too.

It’s dangerous. Too many of my “friends” (I always hated them once they started sharing accounts because I thought it was selfish) have been hurt from this act.

POINT THREE:: Only you can prevent getting hacked!
–Don’t give your account information. Don’t share your accounts. (refer to whole blog to find reasons why)
–If you do decide to share your account, make sure it’s someone you know in real life. And by that, I mean you have the ability to brutally beat them if they do anything stupid.
–NEVER give your pin number out. It’s the one thing that prevents you from getting keylogged. Also, there apparantly is a hack for getting all of your information besides your PIN, because… When I was a noob, I gave my pin number to a stranger who was “getting me NX” T_T and he logged onto my character and stole all my money T_T (which wasn’t a lot at the time anyways ) (…Maybe I was keylogged )
–Write down your security questions. If somebody DOES get into your account, with your security questions you can change the password, and I think your birthday too. Not sure.
–Don’t put your real birthday as your birthday for your account if you tell your friends your real birthday and age. Some easy math and some account information can delete your character.

That’s all I have to say.
Be careful. Don’t be lazy. Have fun.
Take care.

  1. al~a tiger still needs to be banned im waiting for one of the people he shares with to get him banned for good

  2. i know several ppls accts, but i dont play on them
    let me just say its really stupid to make ur runescape acct info the same as ur MS info. . .

  3. This is a good point, but when people leave for vacation and stuff IRL, I find it ok to share with IRL friends especially because you can get them back if they get your account messed up.

  4. Actually, Tiger doesn’t share anymore. No, he’s just a fifteen-year old who plays every free moment.
