Chapter Two

Sorry about the last chapter, I still feel really bad because of the CANKER SORE FROM HELL, but here’s the second chapter:

Hauling her solid horns, Tranq decided to pay a visit to Staff Sergeant Charlie. “He’s always pretty pleasant, and at five experience per horn, his trading program isn’t too bad,” she thought.

“Man, this is annoying. If I were in Trickster Online, then it would take me forever to get to the other end of this map!” she groaned as she moved around. She usually got bored while traveling across towns, so just for the heck of it, she jumped onto one of the platforms next to the potion shop and tried to activate a portal. read more

Chapter One

Thanks for all your input! I’ve decided to use my wizard’s name, so it might be a bit weird.

Tranquilled was annoyed and angry. After four days straight of killing Jr. Cellions, she had gotten enough ores to make ten garnets and six amethysts, but not enough experience to get to level 43. “I’m sick and tired of this! The person who suggested this menial exercise is going to die!” she roared in guildspeak. After drinking a pain reliever and putting up her magic guard, she jumped off the rope she was clinging to and plummeted through the Garden of 3 Colors, her red robes fluttering slightly in the wind. After landing and losing 12 HP, she cursed her incompetence, annihilated a Jr. Lioner and teleported to and through the portal. read more

*thinks hard*

I’ve been thinking about writing a MapleStory fanfic about one of my characters, except that I’ve only ever made a (slightly messed) assassin and an ice-lightning wizard. I don’t want to write about anything I don’t know about, so I think I’ll go with the wizard since I can’t really remember being an assassin; besides, that situation won’t apply to most maplers. read more

Kyaah! Help!

Halloween is in full throttle now, what with a “temporarily” Cash-only area and candy to collect. What I need to know:

1) How do you do Agent Falcon’s quest? Yesterday I killed over 500 Jr. Wraiths and never got any Paranormal Activity Report Pages.

2) Is there more to the woods in the NLC Halloween area than just the Hallowed Grounds? read more

Jr. Cellions Rule!

Even at level 46, Jr. Cellions give me about 0.0125% per kill. That’s not bad considering it only takes me 1 Cold Beam each! I transfer all my spare ores to other characters, and I’ve accumulated more than 40 garnet ores!

Speaking of which, I’ve got an extra sapphire. When I finally got to level 40, I immediately made 2 sapphires for the Alpha Platoon’s Network of Communication without realizingthat I’d have to trek halfway across the El Nath wilderness to deliver the jewels! So right now I’ve only talked to Staff Sergeant Charlie but haven’t given him anything yet because frankly, I don’t have room to carry a piece of map everywhere for ten more levels. I also have that old letter from Chief Stan to give to Dr. Kim because I never did that quest. I didn’t go to Omega Sector until level 40+, thinking that I’d die on the way down (which is why I waited so long to do that Another Day at Work quest with the 10 Roly-Polies.) I also have the Pink Mesoranger’s alarm clock because I never had enough room to take her 6 warp capsules (they take up 2 slots because three go to Ludi and 3 go to Omega). Grr… read more

I’m BACK!

I’ve been absent from MMOTales for a while, but now I’m back! I stopped playing on thieves altogether, and now I’m a level 45 Ice-Lightning Wizard in Khaini. I still have a thief that I keep as a mule, though, and I enjoy sticking stuff on it to keep my inventory a little less cluttered. (My inventory is still cluttered. Imagine what it would be like without a mule.) I stopped playing Trickster Online as well, because seriously: 2GBs? Are you serious? read more

Oh. My. God.

It’s amazing what a new character can make you see. (See last blog.)

My level 36 assassin could knock out a green mushroom with a single whack. Now, my supposedly “better” level 14 rogue, who is supposed to be “stronger than my old STR 26 assassin” can barely even kill an ORANGE mushroom.

I know it will never be the same as my old assassin, but I still miss the ability to clean out an entire map in less than ten minutes. I’m not saying I expected my new character to be shooting two hundred damage at level 14, but still, I can see the difference. For example, I totally forget at time what character I’m on, and have died several times thinking I can kill a Ribbon Pig with a lucky seven. They don’t look so cute when you’re glaring at them from a grave. So the point is, you shouldn’t get used to your viewpoint from the top of the world. Because in case somebody *considerately* tells you that your character sucks, and you actually believe them and make a new one, you’re gonna need to get used to it. read more
