Oh. My. God.

It’s amazing what a new character can make you see. (See last blog.)

My level 36 assassin could knock out a green mushroom with a single whack. Now, my supposedly “better” level 14 rogue, who is supposed to be “stronger than my old STR 26 assassin” can barely even kill an ORANGE mushroom.

I know it will never be the same as my old assassin, but I still miss the ability to clean out an entire map in less than ten minutes. I’m not saying I expected my new character to be shooting two hundred damage at level 14, but still, I can see the difference. For example, I totally forget at time what character I’m on, and have died several times thinking I can kill a Ribbon Pig with a lucky seven. They don’t look so cute when you’re glaring at them from a grave. So the point is, you shouldn’t get used to your viewpoint from the top of the world. Because in case somebody *considerately* tells you that your character sucks, and you actually believe them and make a new one, you’re gonna need to get used to it.

  1. and thats why i have a first jobber, a second jobber, and a third jobber.
but, never thought of it that way.

  2. I see what you mean. When I made my cleric-to-be I was so used to Arrow-bombing and owning slimes/mushrooms that when it actually took me more than 1 hit to kill them . . . well it was very weird. But I still <3 my cleric-to-be and he’s constantly getting stronger.

  3. Uh, well my lvl19 rouge can kill a ribbon pig in two lucky sevens, so what now? xD
