Well, not quite so much Leafre, but other patch related goodness.
Anyhoo… congrats to Radjehuty (pic 1) for making it to Arch Mage! Now I don’t have to listen to you wait for the patch anymore. :3 Also, thank you to the people who pointed out that I had to turn on the HP bars. Durh. XD They don’t work as well as I’d hoped they would for Squids, but they’re still a nice addition.
Saw a priest with their Bahamut while heading to NLC for a quest I couldn’t locate. (pic 2) While waiting for the train, a sniper spent a great deal of effort saying their pig mount was better than the priest’s Bahamut. Whatever, at least the dragon’s cute. (As an aside, did anyone else have the Event quest “Eat This!” show up? I couldn’t find Edmund, and it seems to be related to the fireplaces, but I already have the Omni key…)
There seems to have been a great deal of other little things that were done with the patch. Maps have been changed, or at least flipped over… In Mu Lung, Mr. Do has shown up, so you can do his quest now. I haven’t found Captain Hwang in Herb Town yet, though. Lower level monsters now also drop green apples, which are good for 30mp healing. There are probably other things, but I haven’t been back much to Vic and Ludi yet to properly explore.
The weird portals that have been showing up here and there in the game finally have usage too. Magic seeds in Leafre (which cost the same 30k as a boat ticket) will allow you to warp to the portal north of Ellinia. I’m not sure how else they’re connected, but it sure beats waiting for the boats! read more

Greetings, readers of MMOTales! Today, you are presented with one of my most accidental comics – Comic #17! It was SUPPOSED to be an adventure comic, but it accidentally turned from a tragedy into a comedy. Don’t you hate it when that happens (especially if it’s from comedy to tragedy)? Anyways, yeah, since it was accidentally turned humourous, it probably isn’t one of my best. (Perhaps even one of my worst, next to the mudkip joke.) Okay so everyone is talking about the 9 hour (OMG 9 HRS?) long Patch.

After getting kicked off of Maple, I decided I would go on Basil to check up on some monsters.
My inbox was flooded with my friends messages saying:

I’m addicted. Seriously, addicted.
Here’s my story:

Many people on MMOT play MapleStory, a free MMORPG. Anyways, it’s pretty fun (especially with 4th job coming out). If all goes well, I’ll level from 64 to 70 by June. That’s a lot for me. Anyways, nearly all maplestory MMOT know about Basilmarket. An online MapleStory auctioning site where players trade and auction their goods. Anyways, there’s also a forum there, some guides, and screens. Once in a while, a few good comics show up. I got hooked up on one, called ‘Basil Royale’, based off Battle Royale, a bestseller. DeathPsycho, the author, ran up 11 good comics until he gave up because Basil wouldn’t accept his comics based on the blood. Then while I was browsing through a bookstore, I found the book. Battle Royale. The intro to all the characters was a bit confusing at first, but the story was excellent. I bough the book ($17) and have almost finished it today. I’m on pg 501. I won’t give any spoilers, but all I’ll say is that it is the best book I’ve ever read. So I’m not addicted to MS, but to a book. read more
