The end of an abscence: a new era begins

I remember that day….

Three months ago, I received word that my homeland was under attack.

My mind was full of disbelief. My homeland is a peaceful one, untroubled by any adversity save that of mother nature.

However, when I got home, I found the unbelieveable-no, the IMPOSSIBLE, to be true.

As I headed towards my homeland, I discovered a most horrible finding.

The denizens of Victoria Island had found a way to my homeland.

How this happened I have yet to discover, but I know a great evil is at work.

I can only begin to wonder why my land was chosen.

The only thing I can think of now is what would’ve happened to my homeland had my father and I not been around to save it…..

Frustration. Anger. Confusion. Worry.
These four things were paramount in a young ninja bandit’s mind, a bandit named Ryu Hayabusa II. At 20 years of age, he had chosen to leave his home in search of adventure in the hopes of becoming the next great superninja in the Hayabusa clan. His searches led him to the fableds islands of Maple, Victoria, and Ossyria. Beginning on Maple Island, the smallest and tamest of the trio, Ryu made his way through these new places, learning through experience and self-teaching how to become stronger and tougher in the ways of the ninja, deadly assassins of the shadows.
After several months of trials, tribulations, troubles, and triumphs, Ryu Hayabusa II had garnered an extensive knowledge of his trade. Taking with him the basic skills and knowledge from his schooling at home, Ryu tested himself time and time again through combat and quests, honing his abilities and powers to heights he had once only dreamed of. Soon he had become powerful enough to face anything challenging for an above-moderately trained bandit. This brought him much jubilation and pride. That is, until the beginning of summer, when three months time would lead him away from the maple world to show him how valuable his new abilities truly were, and how dangerously an atrocity of unknown origin could test them.
That is a tale for another time. For now, we settle ahead three months, towards the beginning of fall, and a new adventure.

A giant airship, decorated in vibrant colors and powered by twin engines, zoomed through the sky, heading towards a section of a vast island, the section filled with many gigantic, green trees. As the ship loomed towards its destination, a young man clad in a red studded vest, black athletic stlye pants, red shoes, and a small, round, goggled hat looked on with feelings of bitter anger and unending worry.
Ryu Hayabusa could only seethe and sigh as the ship pulled into the dock. Indeed, Ryu managed to hold back a great evil that threatened the land he called home, an evil that took the form of a grand army of monsters never seen in where he lived. But the negative feelings that pulsated in his mind bore down on whatever mentality he chose to have. These feelings would be difficult to remove, especially due to a realization that made Ryu’s homeland defense all the more grim.
The monsters that attacked his home were from the maple world.
How and why this was couldn’t even begin to be solved, mainly because Ryu’s home was worlds apart from the islands of the maple world. However, Ryu didn’t seem to care. All he cared about was getting the negative feelings out of his head before paranoia overcame him.
As he stepped on the docks leading to Ellinia, Ryu only had two things on his mind: how he could hammer out his depression, and what he could hammer it on.

Hey everyone! How’s this for a story that relates to my three month Maple Story abscence? Well, in any case, I’m finally back in the game, ready to become more powerful and explore more of the maple world.

I hope you enjoy the story. It was tricky to think up, even though it is only the first part in a potential series.

Love, peace, and chicken grease!

  1. I don’t think it sounds like pokemon! Nice story! Ninja Gaiden rocks! hehehe, keep it up dude

  2. Nice way of explaining. The most I could come up with was I had to go battle Major Exams and his soldiers. This sounds more Maplish, so it’s better. I guess.
