Chapter 10

The girl slid the book under her bed and stared resumed to staring out the window.
Where are you?

Rempn woke up with a start when she heard the dungeon door open.
“Who’s there?” She shouted woozily.
The sudden change of light blinded her for a while, but she could still tell a figure stood at the entrance.
“Just wait…Young one.” boomed a voice.
Rempn tried to get her eyes to adjust to the light so she could determine who it was, but her eyes still stared at a blur.
“Who are you?” she said.
“I am who I am, and you are Redemption.”
“What? You mean Rempn?”
“Redemption.” the voice repeated.
Rempn couldn’t tell whether the person was a male or a female, it seemed as if it had no voice…but yet, it rang so loudly in her ears.
“What do you want?” she asked.
“Just you, your patience, and your time.”
Rempn closed her eyes and said, “I’m listening.”
“You truly are worthy of your soul, now listen up…”
Rempn seemed to wince when the voice had said “worthy of your soul.” She wondered what she meant, but decided that she should just listen to the voice.
“I know you have just discovered the strange magic of this room, and have been trying to find an escape.”
Rempn nodded, wondering how this person knew.
“Do not try it. At least, not yet.”
“Why?” she asked, shocked.
“Not until it all begins, not until the last leaf falls and the first creature sleeps.”
“…What? How would I know when the last leaf falls?”
“Eventually, you will be able to come out of this dungeon, but only to a separate area. However, this particular area gives you a look of the Great Source, if you wait, you will watch as the Great Source falls and rises once again over and over every day.”
The great source?
“That way, you will know.”
Rempn was still greatly confused, especially since everything was still a bright blur to her.
“After that happens, you may try the magic of this room. But one cannot do it alone. You are just a single Ice mage. You need one more person, someone who is just like you but is completely different.”
Still confused…
“It may take up to 2 years to find this person if you are foolish, but if not, and you work the magic of this room, then you may proceed to another area. And that area shows the midst of everything.
Can this person speak any more clearer?
The voice paused for a moment and then said, “Your dear friends have just been told a excerpt of what I will tell you–“
Suddenly a loud stomping was heard.
“Dear child!” the voice said hurriedly, “This may be the last time we meet! When your able, find the room of wisdom and there will be something waiting for you, It will reveal it all!”
Then…the light began to fade away.
Rempn stared down at her hands, realizing that it was no her eyes that didn’t allow her to see the figure, It was the light that surrounded it.
“W-wait! I don’t understand anything!” Rempn cried, but the light had completely faded away.
Rempn felt goosebumps appear on her skin when a new figure had appeared at the door.
In a loud voice the same old man she had met earlier yelled, “WHO OPENED THIS DOOR?!”
Rempn stared in hate and silence.
“Who was just speaking to you?” he asked, staring at Rempn in anger.
Again, Rempn gave him no reply.
The man angrily stormed away, slamming the door.
You could hear him yelling angrily, and suddenly yelping, followed by a loud crash.
Rempn chuckled, “That was interesting.”

Aven stared in silence as Davyn and the magician were trying to comprehend everything.
“Aven! Aven!”, he heard Luzicur call in an angry manner.
What do you want? Aven asked, in a tone that was as if he was swatting away pesky flies.
“It’s has come.”
Truly? Do you know where?
“No…They seem to be very good at staying hidden.”
Aven cursed himself and glanced at Jt and Dre.
What about…them? he asked Luzicur.
“They should know too.”
“Jt, Dre, come!” Aven said.
Davyn raised an eyebrow as the two did as Aven said without a word.
Aven led them to a pummeled kitchen and said, “Have you been told of…it?”
“I believe if we are thinking of the same ‘it’, then it would be a Yes.” Jt replied, Dre nodded agreeingly.
“Should we wait till Davyn and the boy understand, or should we proceed immediately?” Dre asked.
“We’ll decide tomorrow.” Aven replied.
Jt and Dre nodded, and the three walked back into the previous room.
“What are we doing?” the magician asked, noticing the strange looks in the three’s eyes.
“We’re waiting.” they replied.

I continued staring at the rose.
What was the rose a symbol of? Love? ,she wondered.
She lifted the rose out of its vase and twirled it in her fingers.
“I haven’t used my magic for a while…”
She balanced the rose on one finger and focused her magic into that single finger.
She closed her eyes, feeling herself warm up. But nothing happened.
She sighed, placing the rose back in its vase.

The sad boy still sat in the cold darkness, he stared at his finger. Scorched from the blazing flames that burned his home. He was a rebel from Ossyria, he was a stealer for half of his life.
Now, he thought staring at the liquid on the floor, I want to be a giver.
He bent down and dipped a finger into the mystery substance. It was thick and crimson red, like a blood rose.
He tasted it, and could tell it was blood, from the ivory taste in his mouth.
He wiped his fingers on his robe, staring at the never ending flow of the blood from the floor to the ceiling back to the floor and so forth…
