Levelling and thinking

I finally reached level 68 and I’m now only 2 levels from my 3rd job advancement.
For reasons unknown, this made me think about a lot of things.
For once, what is the 3rd job advancement really? It’s just like level 10 or 30. You get a new skill book and a new description and then you’re left to do what you have been doing for the last many levels you’ve been going through already. Other than that it is of course a once-in-a-lifetime boss fight (unless you die in the middle of it). It doesn’t really seem like it’s all what it’s hyped up to be.

I decided to actually do some math on my way to level 70 and here’s what I’ve come up with.
To actually get to level 70 I currently need 3,804,279 exp which equals about 20,023 coolie zombies. To kill those I’ll be using savage blow 40,046 times. This will cost 1,081,215 mp which is about 1,352 pure waters. This will cost 2,230,800 mesos. And since I use about 115 unagis for every 100 pure waters I’ll have used about 1,555 unagis. this is going to cost 1,710,500 mesos. I’ll have spent 3,941,300 mesos on training potions (excluding pills and antidotes) by the time I reach level 70. But on the other side each zombie drops 250 mesos on average which will earn me 5,005,750 mesos. All in all I’ll have earned 1,064,450 in pure mesos.
Aside from that I’ll have gained approximately 15,017 zombie teeth that can gain me 75,000 exp from the exchange quest.
Interesting knowlegde, no?

And I finally found a cheap ancient scroll, so now I can finish that annoying Manji quest that has been staring at me for ages.
