4th Episode of The Maple Story. Enjoy!

Finally I had worked up enough courage to say, “I, Kevin, wish to become a rogue.”

“Nice choice.” The Dark Lord said. He clapped his hands and suddenly I was transported to a training place.

“Here is a training place I designed myself. Here you can meet some fellow rogues like you, if you wish to return to Kerning City just talk to me.” The Dark Lord told me.

I was wondering around killing a few shrooms and snails. Then one rogue came up to me, stuck out his hand, and said, “Hi, I’m Eric. What’s your name?”

“Kevin.” I replied.

Eric and I partied together and started training. Eric suggested we go to the slime tree because of the awesome spawn. I quietly agreed as we went through the leafy forests of Ellinia until we reached a cave full of slimes. Eric and I trained together for another hour, talking and laughing while doing so. We had become great friends during this one hour.

“Hey Kevin, I have to go meet some friends up at Kerning, want to come?” Eric asked.

“Nah go ahead and have fun, I think I’ll go visit my parents.” I replied

Eric went back to Kerning and I went back to Lith Harbor. I visited my parents and they baked me a nice meal.

“Hey Kevin, how is your life as a thief?” my dad asked.

“Really well, I met this new rogue, his name is Eric. We’re good friends now.” I told him.

“Well that’s good, but we have news for you.” My mom told me.

“What?” I asked.

“We’re going to enroll you into a Maple Academy. It’s the best in Victoria Island. There will be many people of different skill levels and different classes, you’ll get to meet all sorts of people.” My parents said.

They gave me some mesos and some potions and paid the taxi driver to take me to the academy. I stepped through the front gates where there were signs to tell me to go to the main building for orientation. I arrived at the main building where I signed in. On the list were the names of every new person attending the academy.

I looked at the list and had mixed emotions, for there were some names I recognized, and some I didn’t want to recognize…
