A Mouse and a Rocket.

Who says Clint Mansell and MapleStory don’t work together? Not I, said the fly. For those of you don’t know who Clint Mansell is, if I remember correctly, he’s the man who’s responsible for the work “Requiem for a Dream.” I could be wrong. I was listening to his music as I was mindlessly grinding along as is such to most maplers. Training today wasn’t so bad, though I didn’t do a whole lot of it. Guess I can make it up tomorrow or something, maybe. Today, while my wife was on, and we were training together, this random guy came by us and called us a cute couple with a nice little smiley face and all. That was one of those defining moments that you think redeems the epitomy of the Broan society (or lack thereof F7), but sadly, it wasn’t. Still though, it was nice.

It’s late right now, so my sentences might start to not make sense, but anyways, a patch is about to start soon, so I decided to just get off. What I really found hilariously fascinating though is all the “OMG GMS Y U DO MEYK PATCH IN MI 2X? DATS SO UNFARE REFUND PLS O MEYK UP TIME PLS.” What I was wondering though is that…what if Nexon put something Good or another in this patch, I don’t know, let’s say, a new, Fun town or 4th job or something, but instead we have the people complaining that they’re not getting they’re double digit dollar’s worth of legalized “legit” pseudo-hacking. I laughed then, and I still am now. These people amuse me. Where would Broa be without them? So everyone knows, I shake a fist in the chronic kind of shaking fists, everso much at Nexon for ever putting that horendous, abused monstrosity in the Cash Shop. I only condone the use of 2x for people who have like…jobs, and still want to play, or like…married couples with or without kids…who still want to play. I do not condone it so much for the little 10 year olds, which sadly is a large part of MapleStory apparently, who buy hundreds of dollars worth of iTCG and Nexon Cash Cards so they can get “leet” new equips while partying at some map that’s not linear at all while on 2x. That bugs me, a lot.

I really like how Nexon stopped having 2x events altogether ever since 2x Exp and 2x Drop Cards came out in the Cash Shop. In my mind, it’s like a joke. One GM asks another GM, “Hey, why the heck are we giving our players these wonderful awesome events which encourage friendship and peace, not hoarding maps and ksing, for FREE?!? We should charge them. Let’s do it.” See, that’s what I think happened, except it’s not even meant to be funny. It’s a joke because it’s pathetic, or at least to me. That’s not to say that both 2x events and 2x cards don’t have their respective downs, but I don’t like most card users, especially the really nub (and yes, I mean nub in the most literal sense) rangers and snipers that level off of cards and brag about damage with “leet” equips yet again and more irritating nonsense, or at least, that’s just my opinion.

Oh, and before I forget, let me just say…Can we stop with all the he/she wants buttsecks or the he/she is L> a good time or some other retarded form of an smega? I understand that to some people, these are inside jokes. I know, I know, I have inside jokes with my friends, too. What I’m wondering though is, why is everyone sharing their inside jokes with people who frankly don’t care, and to the people that do care, might I suggest finding something else to do besides care about people’s meaningless nonsense that is irrelevant to you. An inside joke is fun among friends. I agree with that whole-heartedly. You see though, they’re called Inside Jokes, because it’s inside that close group of friends and such, not meant for the whole world to hear and not care for. That’s why there called Inside Jokes, not Outside Jokes, because people on the outside weren’t meant to hear them, nor would they care to.

If I remember correctly, I was in the FM, and some guys and girls were talking about a mouse and a rocket, and then I get spammed with LOL’s all over the place and I’m wondering if I just hit the funny, let’s all laugh until we explode, Clown Apocalypse or something, but it was just some circle of friends talking about an inside joke. In my super trained peripheral chat box observation skillZ with a capital Z (not really), I noticed that these people were talking about a mouse and a rocket. Me being a gamer and all, I was off in my own world thinking of that one game for the Nintendo DS which I had never played, but I think it was called Chu Chu Rocket or something. Though I was clearly mistaken, as a mouse and a rocket doesn’t mean Chu Chu Rocket (F4), rather, it meant some form of sexual innuendo when I asked them, as I was curious.

Also, might I thank all the nice people for their compliments and other related responses. I’d love to tell you who I am (I can actually pass on that), but then, this wouldn’t remain Anonymous, now would it? F6 Sooner or later, maybe you’ll find out. Who knows. I’m not the best at being discreet for a prolonged period of time. Ah well.
To those that spoke in response to the large illiteracy issue, I agree with you to some extent. It would be awfully hard to filter such people out of the game or to move them somewhere else. Besides, that would be Nexon not caring about its money greed– I mean, players, and we all know Nexon loves its players very much, lest we try to rid our wonderful servers of such a wonderful, illiterate blessing. Sheesh. What were we thinking? Realistically speaking though, the only hope of this resolving itself or for someone to resolve itself would be for all of them to gain literacy both instantaneously and simultaneously, but that’s a euphoric, utopian dream, which could be compared to how probable the big oil crisis or all the drunk people in the world sobering up at the same time-just too improbable for words.
Although I may be a ranger and have much pride in being as such, I am not sexeh, though I’m flattered you think of all of us like that. Also, Real Rangers > Power Rangers, unless we’re talking about Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. I’m sorry, but nothing can beat the oddly colored, box-shaped Megazords, the trademarked Power Rangers Battle Cry and sparks emanating from their suits when they get mortally wounded (Don’t you know? Sparks is so much more realistic than like, actual bleeding, instead of well…Death from a giant behemoth of a demonic villain. Duh.) and the nightmare inducing villains, for little children training hard, aspiring to become Power Rangers themselves someday, but most importantly, how many changes the Rangers themselves went through, especially in the movie. That’s just my opinion.
On a somewhat relevant side-note, might I personally say to you, Muffin, that your response tickled my Chuckle gland greatly. Onyx loves referring to himself in the third-person narrative. It’s one of the ways he gets his jollies throughout the day. For those of you reading this, I want you to sometime, just for a day or something, speak in the third-person narrative. It’s fun, or at least I think it is.
I’m odd/whatever else you think I am. Yes I know, and thank you. F2

On a very random note, MapleStory and the Goo Goo Dolls isn’t a bad combination at all, I must say, though which songs being listened to are very important. Ah well.

Onyx is very tired now, and must get up in some hours away. Not a whole lot of sleep, but more than yesterday, at least. Yay for just enough sleep. <3 Before I go though, let me apologize just in case if I didn’t make sense or if my grammar was horrible, as I am not proofreading this or anything like that, so if sentences just broke off and new ones started or whatever, I don’t know. I’m tired. I’m going to sleep.

For those still awake, enjoy the rest of your early mornings (be sure to get back into the cave before sun up), and perhaps you should try getting some sleep too, just saying. For those still asleep, and for whoever may possibly fall inbetween, sleep well and take care, the lot of you. Later.

  1. Lol I read your other blog. Because I didn’t see it before. But anyways, comment.

I still find it funny that hermits need a Summoning Rock to throw 4 stars while rangers need but a bow and some arrows to (I would hope most people would have Soul Arrow by now though). Yay Ranger Pride.

Rangers can throw 4 stars if they have a bow? That’s new

  2. I agree on the 2x card bit. Threads (on the Nexon site) about how unfair the patches are to 2x users abound every time there’s a patch and while I’m just thinking, “Oh, well. . .I have time to clean the bathroom/do the laundry/etc,” people just have to whine like babies about this horrible atrosity of not being able to use their 2x. No, they can’t do something constructive while they wait. Why? Why on Earth would they?

The only reason I shelled out money for the 2x is because I have a full time job, live with my boyfriend, have animals to take care of, etc, etc. Otherwise, I would have just grinded to my heart’s delight. Ah, well. Children.

  3. But Rangers ARE sexeh. >O
(‘Cause like, I’m one too. )

    You ramble funnily.

[edit] Uh. But I used x2 EXP during my holiday break to get from 7x-8x. :X It was that, or remain stuck at 7x forever, lol. I chat too much in-game to train properly, and if not for the four hours that I know I MUST train in, I’d be so much less motivated.

  4. Chu Chu Rocket doesnt have a mouse and a rocket you silly goose. It has mice and cats. I’ve played it. It was fun.
