Hackers – The true failures

Hackers – The true failiures

Countless times have legit players been called a ‘Nolife’ by a hacker. Is that really so? I met a hacker at the Slime Tree on Friday. I was hunting for White Roses and passes with my friend when he jumps in and starts hacking. He was level 1X so he didn’t really bother me, yet I wanted to talk with him.

When we started talking I got the same BS I get from every hacker. “You’re a nolife because you’re a high level. You don’t have any friends, you play 19 hours a day in a dark locked closet, you don’t go to school nor work and you will never have a girlfriend”. I wonder why every single hacker out there says the same exact thing? The whole thing isn’t even true! I can’t believe how ignorant they are. There we go. One reason why they fail. Ignorance.

I, along with most legits, play the game for fun. I’m not obsessed about my level. Hackers seem to be. What makes them play the game if they don’t like it? What’s the fun in eating rice if you hate it? There has to be something behind that makes you play, that makes you eat. For hackers it’s their level. Every hacker hacks, because they are obsessed about getting to some certain level. How about us legits? Not all, but most people play this game for fun, as I already stated. For us it’s a way to spend our free time if we have nothing else to do. It’s not an obsession. There we go. A second reason why hackers fail. Obsession about levels.

What you also hear alot is how hackers say we have no friends or social relations because we play so much. Hackers leave their computers to bot while they can go out with their friends. How do sense hypocrits? Every single hacker has said that they leave their computer to bot while they hang outside with friends. Why is it always friends? I say that while their computers are botting in MS they play other games, most of the time. We all know the “UMFG U DUN HAF NO FRNIEDS!” is a total lie. I dare to state that most legits have more friends than hackers do!

Hackers can’t see behind the game. We all hear “What do you care, it’s just a game”. OK, this attitude is fine if you’re playing Mario or something. Hello! Wake up! This is an MMORPG! You’re dealing with real people here! Hackers can’t see the people behind the pixels. I’m not saying legits can, but especially hackers can’t. Why? Do you honestly think a hacker cares about how many people get frustrated, angry, sad or whatever when some inconsiderate idiot has stolen their training place. They don’t! For them it’s just angry pixels (as it is for most of the KSers out there as well). Hackers continuously boast with their real life friends. Why don’t they treat them the way they treat people in the game. Hurting someone’s feelings overseas doesn’t make you less bad a person than if you’d be standing right in front of them, it just makes you worse. Let me quote Billy Talent’s song:

“Cowards that hide behind their words,
Don’t care whose feelings will get hurt
Beware the voice without a face,
That’s hidden underneath the…
Cover of cowardice. . .”

There we go. A few more reasons why hackers fail. Selfishness, inconsiderance and cowardice.

Now, why exactly do we legits deserve the title of a ‘Nolife’? I don’t see any reasons. Hackers call us nolives to have something to throw back at us. Excluding this argument, what other arguments would a hacker have to defend themself? I don’t see any. The funny thing is, their only reason why they are better than legits is far from the truth. They even know it themselves!

To sum this all up:
Hackers have no real reason to call legits nolives. Their only argument is false and they know it themselves. Having a high leveled character does not mean you have no social relations and you fail at school, work or whatever you go to. Hackers themselves, fail. Why? Ignorance, obsession about their level, most of them are hypocrits, selfishness, inconsiderance and cowardice.

I doubt this will have any effect on the hacking community, they’ll just think arrogantly about this and continue watching their character do everything for them. Some time in the future you’ll get banned anyway. It might be in a week, in a month or in a year, but when you do, remember me. My main point was to bring out a new perspective to this issue and to discourage everyone from falling to the dark side.

Keep it legit and happy Mapling!

PS: I apologise for any grammar related issues, but I believe you will forgive me since I’m not a native english speaker.
I might still add something here when my mind cools down

  1. You’re right Misacorp. Hackers is saying that we don’t have a live. Tsk. Play 23/7 then we know what they mean. But many people don’t play that much. Many are just playing Maplestory for fun.

  2. Your right but, I disagree with some of the hacking part. 2 years ago, when Maple Story was at it’s beta stage, I was a hacker. I had a life, I used grammar, I hanged out with my friends while botting, and I was social in both Maple Story AND real life. I didn’t say to high level legits “Oh my gosh you have no life -.-” or anything of the sorts. Most hackers I agree have an obsession about levels, but I didn’t. I wasn’t ignorant but, I was a hacker. You say as in your talking about all hackers. Not supporting the hacking side but, only MOST hackers are like that =/. From what i’ve seen in Maple Story so far, hackers have better spelling then legits. Legits called me a no life for training at zombies at level 50. =/

  3. Very true, but I had a hacker friend who was really nice and had good grammar~ He was one of my best friends and always polite. ^_^

But. . .all the same, there are some ‘mean’ hackers out there though I’m sure there are many nice ones as well~

  4. I agree with 95% of what you said, maybe one or two of the accusations were more of an assumption than anything else. However, I strongly agree with you, just because you’re a Ranger, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have a life.

  5. It was intresting. Your pretty much right. I been playing from beta so that’s 2-3 years and I’m only level 62. But maplestory does take up time and that is why I quit for around 5 months. A week ago I started playing again. I heard rumors that gms were mass banning but when I was on I saw more hackers then before I quit. I talked to some of them and found out some were pretty nice. I mean there are mean ones but there still are some nice ones. One hacker cced when I asked him to and another helped me ks another hacker. I guess it just means it counts on whoever is playing the character not just because there legit or hacker.

  6. Hrmm, Well their is Tiger whom alot of people hate for the accusation of people saying he swears towards people cause he is the highest level and starts saying ” i will get the gm to ban you so stfu! “

  7. I totally agree with you Misacorp.
Why are they playing the game if they don’t like how it works? Because hackers do not like how the game is if they have to hack to make it better. And what’s the fun in cheating? If you’re lvl 150 but you got there from hacking, you won’t even feel proud of yourself. Also, if we are indeed lvl 150 but we didn’t hack, it doesn’t mean we have no life. We can organise our time to be able to play some days and go out with friends some other days.
Anyway, all this is to say, you are right. xP
