Shades of Heaven: Bound to Fate (2)

(To make up for my mistake, I have finished chapter two! I hope it is as good as the first, but…that is why I can ‘edit’ and redo^^)

Chapter 2: The Meetings and Fallings

It has been a few days since Laren had a moment to herself and reminisces about her life…but not feeling she deserves to live it. She had been thinking about how she made so many little mistakes lately, but Gin told her it was merely natural since Jay was not here with them since…after the day she lost her picture, she blushed just thinking about it. “You okay?” asked Tino as Gin had left to find another wizard or cleric to help them with exploring Lubridium and Eos Tower, though Gin, Tino and Laren vowed never to go into the 101st floor…without Jay or someone more experienced. “It’s okay, you still shaky since we fought… Alishar?” asked Laren as Tino shivered with fright; they barely made it out alive…where is JAY? “Well…on the bright note, we are alive!” laughed Gin who had watched Tino shiver like it was below 10 and found it…sad, he forgot his camera. Gin looked at the clock tower in Lubridium as he wide eyed and said, “Oh no, we have to hurry! We have to meet our new team mate”, said Gin as he grabbed Laren and Tino before racing off to the bottom of the clock tower, he had only 5 seconds to make it there.

It took them exactly 4 seconds…and 2 minutes before they arrived at the bottom of the clock tower, Gin fell to the ground exhausted while Laren and Tino were just a little tired. “Rats, we were late”, said Tino as he didn’t like the thought of another wizard or, which is especially, clerics who they had to split the mesos with…he loved to be as rich as Jay was. “Don’t worry, I won’t bite your heads off…yet”, laughed a very angelic voice as Gin looked up and sighed, so she was still here. There stood a very well dressed cleric who laughed a little more at Gin as he pouted, humorously. She smiled at Laren as they seemed to share the same idea, they were good friends…thank god there was another girl which was why Tino was… “Tino, you okay? Say something? Anything? Maybe the combination to that Ultimate Piggy Bank of yours?” asked Gin as Laren and the new cleric put two large lumps on the wizard’s head. “Ow”, said Gin a he got up and just stood away…far away. “Are you all right, my name is Kaitylin, but you can call me Kai”, said Kai who smiled angelically to Tino who had woken up…only to faint again. “Wow, do I still have my amazing charm?” asked Kai as Gin couldn’t help but laugh his head off. “Yes Kai, you still have that amazing charm that makes men faint at your…grace”, said Gin before a couple of Fire Arrows set his robes ablaze, it was Kai and Laren’s turn to laugh…like best friends of the greatest kind, forever.

“So Kai, how have you been since…what quest were we doing?” asked Gin as Kai laughed at how dumbfounded Gin looked and took a picture of it, priceless. “HEY! So that was where my camera went”, said Gin as he glared at Kai for stealing his camera…his precious camera he got at the Lubridium Souvenir shop for 650 mesos! “Hey Gin, is today the day Jay is coming back?” asked Tino as he looked at the calendar with a big red circle on today. “Yeah, but not just that…today is Lubridium’s annual Kins Festival which celebrates the love and devotion that made Lubridium a wonderful town…” began Gin as the others rolled their eyes thinking it was a really normal day after all, well, besides Jay coming back. “…Oh yeah, everything in Lubridium is half priced and there will be a big show where they pick two audience members to help out”, said Gin as the three magician’s left the room at the speed of light…or faster, if that was possible. “I guess I will have to greet Jay at the Airship docks…but after I see if I can’t find a nicer staff”, said Gin who walked out of the room with a smile, not noticing that someone had been listening in on their conversations, making sure to report everything to the boss…except the dangerous squeals of girls when they want to…SHOP! The spy shivered as they disappeared and returned to headquarters…somewhere in Lubridium.

“Welcome to Lubridium Souvenir Shop, where you can treasure your visit here with wonderful trinkets and other cheap items”, said the girl who was working at the counter and heard the bell rang, but rolled her eyes when she saw it was…him. “So, you back from spying on those wannabe magicians again?” asked the girl with a yawn as the individual gave her a look, a cold and dangerous look. “Alright”, said the girl as she somehow opened a secret passageway behind the gift card section and the doll section. “We really need to get a new ‘secret’ entrance”, said the boy as he looked at the passages covered with stuffed toys…it was disturbing and disturbing. “Well, the boss thought it was ‘wonderful’”, said the girl as she rolled her eyes and watched the boy disappeared, she knew he was probably halfway down the secret passageway. As she began to close the secret passageway, a quick blur ran in and barely made it before the secret passage was sealed. The girl had a humorous smile as she turned to read a novel she had, ‘The Tales and Times of an Assassin in Disguise at a Souvenir Shop’.

“Oh…your back”, said an unsurprised voice as the boy walked into a dark dank room covered in…dolls? “So, what have you to report?” asked the voice as the boy whispered what he heard and a smile appeared on the individuals face. “Is that…helpful?” asked the boy as the voice only laughed evilly and knocked over a few dolls on the right wall. “Yes, of course it is helpful…you see, he did it! The Wizard had Conquered Zakum and taken it…not the replicas, THE ONE”, laughed the voice as the boy smiled, their dreams have finally been realized. “Now…you know what to do, correct?” asked the voice as the boy nodded and left the room rolling his eyes, their leader was crazy…but crazy enough to lead. As he walked down the hall, he saw the twinkling gem of his life as he smiled. “Hi there!” said the peppy assassin as the boy smiled eventfully how great this day was…so far. “How are you…princess?” asked the boy in a sweet tune as the girl giggled and smiled before leaving. “Hmmm…why is she taking such an interest in me?” asked the boy as he thought for a moment and smiled, remembering what she had said to him…a long time ago.

Few Months Ago…

”Hey…please reconsider?” asked the voice of the newest group member in their ever growing gang as the peppy girl laughed and walked away. The member walked in front of her and said, “Please, I will become a great assassin…won’t you like me?” The girl knocked him aside, fortunately into a wall of cushions. “Pl-“ began the boy as the assassin girl threw a Kumbi near his head, grazing his ear as she looked at him. “Look at yourself, I am much better than you…why should I waste my time trying to be with such a soft, hopeless, and senile rogue like you”, said the girl in laughs before she walked away, it had shaken his world to hear those words as he touched his ear…it was bleeding. He looked at the blood and brushed it over his eyes as he rushed off…making a promise that day he was bound to keep.

‘Hmm…looks like she is the one chasing me’, thought the boy as he left to check up on other matters, like if everyone was ready to play their roles right, it had to be perfect. ‘It has to strike hard and fast, so quickly they won’t know how to react…besides how I want them to’, thought the assassin as he saw a few new rogues and glared at them. “GET TO WORK!” he yelled as they rushed off in terror, the boy smirked feeling happy he ‘exercised’ his rights as second in command…he was now close to top dog in this organization. ‘Soon…’, thought the boy as he remembered his promise and it was: I will get what I want…because I am Zabel.

“Hey Jay”, said Gin who watched as the wizard walk downward in a royal fashion, but he couldn’t blame him as he heard about his victory. “Hi Gin…hows the others?” asked Jay as Gin whispered a few words, Jay nodded with a smile knowing everyone was fine, even though the letter about a trip to 101st floor terrified him to death, he knew they could do it…he knew she could do it. “So…this is the wizard you told me all about, the one that is a klutz, right?” asked a hunter as Jay nodded his head…not noticing the twitching eyes of Gin as he held his wand dangerously…he didn’t want everyone to know he was a klutz. “Hey…where did she go?” asked the hunter as Gin wondered who they were talking about, but Jay looked too busy to tell him as he held onto an item wrapped up in leather. “So Artin, want to show my naïve little wizard friend what this is?” asked Jay as Artin and him began to tease Gin, the ice wizard wishing he learned the spell using ice and lightning together right now, a shocking and freezing experience for all. “Okay, I will show you…THIS!” said Jay who took it away from Artin and began to unravel the item from it’s leather bindings. “Wow…is that a…a…” began Gin as Jay nodded his head and smiled, it was a beautiful Kage, a wizard weapon of ultimate renown. “So…I bet 500 thousand meso your other friends will look like this”, said Artin, but Jay turned it down knowing that he would probably lose the mesos for sure because he knew…that his friends were easy to impress because he has seen everything in this world, nothing can leave him breathless…or is there?
