I am so lonely, so very lonely.. I have nobody to call my..
WAIT. What am I saying? Maybe the first part is true. Perfect World is a very lonely place. It’s all about quest after quest after quest, and nobody really socializes ever. Into week two of my experience, reaching level 30, and it’s still all about the quests and buying/selling. While the quests keep it interesting, I’ve only ever been in one party, and that lasted less than two minutes when I learned this dude just wanted me to help him power level his mule.
And me, Miss Chatty, has only had real conversations with two people. TWO.
Is this a joke?
Maybe I’m missing something, but the graphics (besides the character creation, which is still uber win) are lackluster, the music is so-so, the classes are pretty great, even though the spell animations are basically all the same with the spells themselves being different colors, and sadly, it ends up being just you, talking to yourself (or your pet if you’re foxkind.)
I decided to try to get someone to talk today though. I started with a nice ‘hello’. Nothing. Didn’t go so well, so I went and KS’d them, and they just ignored me. I kept doing it, and then they just left. No words were exchanged, no slight display of emotion. Even in town, I’d run around and talk to random people, and try to be nice, (the expressions actions are actually pretty cool and interesting, I wish I could use them more), but all the towns are pretty empty till you get to the main town, and that’s mostly AFK shops, which makes me really sad.
So, what is the point of this game? If there were actually people who enjoyed talking and hanging out, then I think this game would be worth it. Otherwise, it’s overrated. Maybe I’ll try again when global servers come out, and people actually start talking and being noobish, dumb Americans.
(Wow, never thought I’d say I miss the noobs. That’s how boring it is!)

That is true. Without nooblets, any mmorpg would be very boring . . . they are a primary source of entertainment after all D:

I’m only level 18 and I’ve already been in 3 parties. The main issue is that there isn’t a version where most people are from NA. That means that there won’t be many players while us Americans are on. I’ve made 3 friends so far, and I really like the quest system. I really suggest playing in a party more as it makes leveling much more fun and easy.
What servers are you guys on? I’ve started playing on Delphi, but if it turns out that no one plays there, I guess I could start over.
I love it when that happens. This one time, I was at FoG, and this dude came up to me trying to start crap. Then he accused me of something, I forget what exactly. It eventually escalated into him calling his guild which he was so proud of. He brought in like 8 80+’s (2 of which were 100+’s) and was trash talking up a storm. So, finally, I’d had enough and told my guild about this. They got pissed because the other guild was badmouthing our guild and we came at them full force. 6 100+’s 8 90+’s, and about 10 more. It was absolutely hilarious. Oh yeah, did I mention I was in Guildless? (For you non Broans, Guildless was the top GQ guild and one of the best guilds out there.)
Delphi as well. I forget my IGN, though. I’ll tell you when I get back.

Aww, I know how you feel. Though I would probably be one of those people who doesn’t respond. ^^ The thing is I don’t really bother because most of these people probably can’t speak English anyway. When a game as a lot of Asians (native ones from Asia) people tend to train more than socialize. That’s what I heard. D:
Once I was lucky enough to randomly meet up with a guy who was in a very chatty guild. They were really nice and funny. I’m sorry that I didn’t have much to contribute to the convo but it was nice to have some human interaction in that game for once.
