From the Mind of Mip.

As I sit here silently, in the medical school center in the city where I live now, my computer completely gone, hording my dad’s laptop like I was some starving child, I read through the new blogs. While doing so, there is a little something that nags at me, building up more and more. It’s so simple, yet so complex.

Why are there all these blogs completely unrelated to any MMORPG of any sort?

No- I’m not attacking any one of you personally, if that’s what you think, but I’m be clear and to the point. This site is for blogs of MMORPGs. That’s Massively-Multiplayer-Online-Role-Playing-Game, for those of you who are fairly clueless, and if anybody is like me, you come to this site to read about MMORPGs. Now let’s delve into this a bit, shall we? Since this site is for blogs of that genre only, then we should be able to look at a blog and think.. does this belong? Here’s some examples.

A blog of your day on Maple Story.: Bingo! This belongs here, because it’s about an MMORPG.
A blog about how you hate your friend at school and you pranked him or her.: Boooo! Sorry folks, as funny as this seems, this DOESN’T belong here.
An original story involving your characters from some roleplays you’ve been in. : Booooo! As much as I’d love to tell you this worked here, they don’t. Again, if you’re writing about characters you made up, characters that weren’t based on an MMORPG game, then you’re on the wrong site.
A video blog of you and your best friend picking your nose.: No. Just no.
Writing a poem about frogs: Booooo! Nothing. Absolutely NOTHING to do with an MMORPG. This does not belong here!
A video you made of your friends leveling in [insert MMORPG here].: Bingo! This works! It might be pointless, but rock on for actually posting things of a proper nature!

See how this handy-dandy little bingo/boo system works? Do us all a favor and before you post a blog, question just ONE thing in your mind. ’Does this have anything to do with an MMORPG?’

I rest my case.

  1. lol awesome post. quite frankly i’m tired of people who posts poems/videos/original stories that are totally unrelated to MMORG. -_-;; I wish people would stop doing that to get the “likes” and comments from others.

  2. Ah, you see that’s where you’re wrong.

See, blogs that entertain people just slips out even if it has nothing to do with an MMORPG.

Would you rather hear about a guy hacking at Death Teddies than a good ol’ story on Rabbits?
Would you rather hear about an idiot scamming a newb rather than a good video that can actually cheer you up?

Laughter is the best medicine you know

On the other hand, I agree.

Some blogs aern’t about MMORPGS. But they still might mean something to the writer!

Anyways it’s your opinion. And some other people’s opinions are quite different from yours, I’m sad to say.

A video about a guy leveling actually has proper nature. Right-ho. How bout a 2-hour video with a hermit leveling from level 72 to 73?

Sadly this time your mask of smak won’t pwn me. AlterOfGod can. He’s like the only one. . .

Go on flame me. I would so very much like that. Or state out more arguments to stand your case! Consider it a challenge.

  3. Ah, I love your argument, Darkwar. ^^ I love to laugh as much as the next person, but really really, this is going overboard.
It was alright when it was just the occasional funny. But this site is for MMORPGs. If you’re looking for some joke on Inuyasha, or a video of a guy falling off a roof, you’re on the wrong site, correct? ^_^

At any rate, it’s lovely to hear what other people have to say, even if I do disagree. ^^

(Besides, I wrote a bit about Trickster at the bottom, and the whole blog pertains to MMORPGs themselves. ^^)

  4. Me and my friend and my brother always make stories about ppl in MMORPG world. We don’t care if ppl press “i like button” or “THIS TOTALLY SUCKS CRAP!” button. We do it because it’s fun and something to do. Of course thousands of ppl are looking at them and saying like “This totally sucks” or else “This is good” i thank the ppl who do the good buttons and to the bad people i thank them as much as i do the good people. It’s all the same to us 3! WHO CARES?! if u c a blog not related to an MMORPG, heres the answer

IGNORE IT OR ELSE DON’T SAY ANYTHING!

Remember, if your gonna say something nasty about a blog, don’t say anything at all

    Your blogger,
    ShadowLord

  5. @Black: Again, I understand, but this site is for blogs about MMORPGs. See the title? MMOTales? Not, Silly-things-Tales. 😀

(But I’m sure there’s a site out there like that, somewhere. :D)

  6. lol, i agree with alot of blog, although, if people wanna write about un-related topics, let them, its the internet. . . not much we can do to stop them, so let it be =) I enjoy reading about some of those wierd things, its entertaining!

Also, i was stupid enough to check : http://www.silly-things-tales .com

It dosnt exist, Oh poo =(

    gujju ♥

  7. Yeah. . . good one but I still think that blogs are stuff that. . . creates what you call a “societey”

    Laughter, Tears, Love, Joy, Hatred, Pain, You name it. Those feelings are expressed through any types of blogs on MMO. It makes what you call a societey, where people actually co-op to share stuff. It may be the wrong site but oh well. That got me stumped D;

    I don’t know any other site xcept Gaia-Online. . .

  8. Mipsacri i agree wat Gujju says. Just i don’t agree with a few of the comments i agree with 2 of them. picking ur nose and the frog. They are stupid and i dunno y u wrote them 0.o well i believe that MMOtales is about everything and if u don’t agree ask Captian, i’m going to e-mail him cause i’m bored and have nothing else to do except argue.

  9. sure we should write about MMOrpg’s, but there’s not a lot to talk about. leveling, stories, hacking, ranting, getting scammed, how people are so mean, we’ve heard them all. sure, it’s wonderful when someone levels, but thousands of people do on a daily basis. nothing unique. sure, it’s WONDERFUL hearing that you got hacked, but hundreds of people get hacked everyday.
so why can’t people just post funny videos or something humorous without getting harassed?

  10. Mipsacri. . . your a great writer so i understand your passion for this website, but its gonna happen. People get bored with just MMORPG stuff, and if it was JUST MMORPG some people might get so drawn into the MMORPG “world” that they never come out, meaning that they just sit and play MMORPGs,write about them, read about them, talk about them(even if its to themselves). It has happened before. The occasional break from the MMORPG blogs are alright. Although I do see some that just dont deserve to be on the front page. . .*cough* Renome and that guy w/ all the #’s in his name who is actually Renome*cough* I also see a lot that are good, like the starwars parody video some1 posted (i think it was drunkdaddy) was funny.
And about the nose picking video: you didnt say Boo and you didnt say Bingo Soooo. . .THAT MEANS ITS ALRIGHT! YAY!
    lol j/k

No one is going to read this. . . EVERYTIME I MAKE A BIG POST NO ONE READS IT. . . IM THE LAST POSTER. . .IT SUCKS!
unless Mip answers it cuz she always replies to the comments on her blogs.
