A Mile a Minute to Oblivion!

Ahaha, you thought I was dead DIDN’T YOU?! ~____~ Well, I am. Kinda. BUT, here I am anyway, from the grave, to present you a *gasp* Real. MMO-related. Blog. From Yours Truely. BWAHNYAN~

*weezes that college-nofun-studyingallthetime-gottagetthemgoodgrades-air and rolls*

So. Remember that MMO I mentioned in my last blog, which was about four months ago? Perfect World, you know? Well, I was overly excited to see that they had an English Beta open. In my fits of excitement, I totally forgot what I was supposed to be doing (*cough*Studying for finals*cough*) and immediately downloaded it from Grimno’s suggestion.
Btw, my internet pwns yours ftw~!
So, after the 10 minutes it took me to download it, it was easy to install and update. Registering, however, was another matter. Again and again, it would keep telling me there were things wrong with my registration, such as the email being wrong, it made me emo for a while. BUT, I didn’t give up! I kept retyping it until FINALLY it took. So, I log on, and instantly I’m faced with a simple and clean interface.

And one of the features that I was excited by did not fail to dissappoint!
Let me put this out there right now. Character customization in this game is GODLY.You can change every aspect of their face, down to their bone structure, but the body customization is a bit lacking. You really have to see it to believe it, it’s amazing.

Whewie, lookie at thems options on screenshots 1 and 2~!

There’s 50-some different hairstyles to choose from, and I hardly see anyone who looks alike (unless you’re boring and use one of the pre-packaged character types.), so it’s really super-awesome in that aspect! I’m kind’ve sad that there are only 3 classes per gender, but I guess it can’t be helped. In game, my character looks as just awesome in game as she does in the customization window, but once you get into the game, it gets a little bit dissappointing.

With such an amazing bang that the customization screen showed me, the graphics in game didn’t live up to what I imagined as “The Best MMO in China”. The soundtrack is good, sound effects standard, but the graphics in other games such as SilkRoad and Flyff easily surpassed the ones here (screenshot 3). The layout is simple, standard, although I haven’t found where the inventory button is yet. >_>

But, the quests keep it interesting, and I might stick with this one for a while. So if you’re looking for a nice change, but nothing Earth-shaking, then this is the MMO for you. Except for the character customization. I demand everyone try that. >:

Well, I guess I better get rolling. Finals are coming up and I’m playing MMOs (silly me~)! But, wish me luck, okay?
Hope this made you smile.
Till next time, never give up!
Roll that awesome music, Mip-style!

  5. HOLY SMELL, YOU’RE BACK! WELCOME!

Good to see you on the blogs again. This Perfect World really does look interesting. All those character custom options would put Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion to shame! Can’t argue with the graphics, looks like a poor man’s Guild Wars. But, we’ve all seen worse, eh?

Good luck with your finals, and keep mmoing! Good to see you back.
