Today, as in Monday morning, I hit level 59. Now, I know that it’s cause for celebration and all, but then it sunk in:

11 levels away.

To be honest, I’m filled with a bit of excitement, as I can’t wait for Priesthood and the prospect of fighting even more diverse monsters than before and Holy Symbol and Shining Ray and all the other Priest skills that make being a Priest so wonderful.

But…

I wonder if Mapling really becomes a ‘team effort’ at 3rd job. To clarify, I am a Cleric, but a solo one. I feel no need to justify my reasons for picking this particular path and also, not stating my reasons will lead to questions, which are always good. Also, with the way I am, will I someday see myself just spamming the Heal button while others in my hypothetical team attack with their throwing stars, melee weapons, bows and staves or wands?

No, it just can’t be this way; to look at it in such a manner is to disregard and negate all the hours spent chasing people out of where I’ve been training or having to deal with people trying to barge in and steal one’s map. I refuse to accept things like this for now, to being forced to spamming Heal into infinity.

Sometimes, I regret this job of being a Cleric. Even to this day, 30+ patches into MapleStory, Clerics are the only heavily debated class, as far as what skills to max and which is the least useful. Other classes have clear, concise reasons for what to do with ones character and with pretty sound reasons. Then again, perhaps I’m just reading into this too much and am getting stressed over nothing.
