Okay so what do you think about OdinMS?
1. Private Servers stole Nexon’s interlectual property. This only means maps and monsters.
2. ITS ILLEGAL!!!
3. OdinMS sent out the soruce to everyone now. So PServers are EVERYWHERE and that means Nexon gets less money. If Maplestory werent here then there wouldnt be OdinMS. (Also note that if Odin shuts down, all the other servers wont get updated anymore and will shut down eventually. Thats why they sued Odin MS.)
4. A rule in the code of conduct: You may not download, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, modify, distribute or publicly display any of the content of our information contained in the Service.
That is why everyone that Nexon is suing OdinMS.
PS: I despise all people that play PServers.
PPS: GG everyone who got upset about OdinMS shutting down.

Its supposed to be that way. Thats like saying: I got to lvl 20 in 1 month and then I went to Pserver and I was lvl 200 in 1 month!
I already quit normal MS long time ago, I only played these private servers to try out 4th job and finish the fun.

Okay you do have a point there. But isnt it fair to Nexon? PServer has came up and taken all their users.

What fun is that by leveling too fast?
Two arguments to put:
1. Private servers are NOT dangerous unless you’re hosting one. Nexon would have no reason to sue every individual player on each private server, not only would this take a ridiculous amount of time, the expenses for the suits would likely outweigh whatever money Nexon could potentially gain from each player.
2. Nexon doesn’t really lose a lot of money. The vast majority of private server players have either quit the official game or never bought any NX. Only a minority are players who actually continued to play GMS and buy NX. So really, Nexon’s only losing a tiny amount of money. Then again, I suppose that’s enough for them to go overboard*
* Seriously. A lot of other, P2P games have private servers that never got sued. MapleStory is F2P. Why did Nexon sue them when those other game companies, such as Ragnarok, didn’t?
Private server players are a TINY fraction, numerically, of GMS players. Most of them had already quit GMS before joining pservers.
I don’t know about you, but I’d rather waste a few days on a 200x server to get to level 120 than a few months of time getting to level 120 in GMS.
Grindfests are not fun. They’re just addictive. I don’t have that much time to waste on a mindless level grind when I could be doing much more productive and fun things.
You may think that there is no fun in leveling fast or getting rare items faster, or even getting free NX. However, people have different views than you, and have fun playing private servers that provide this. And private servers have not taken all of Nexon’s users, because if it really did catastrophic damage to the Nexon company, all the servers would have been closed down. It isn’t hard for Nexon to find them on Google and start a lawsuit.
So you’re saying that we should grind at normal rate?
No way! I don’t waste my life playing MS! I want to have a life! D:
Playing at high rates make people who are bored of MS, finish what they want to accomplish in MS.
For example, get to lv 200 and get 4th job, then quit (like me now)
