O-M-G! I’m back. I just got back from a weekend of playing MS. (sigh) I have received not 40, not 50, not 60, not 75, but over 80 emails to keep on writing! I am going to end this season of My Side of a Maple Romance Story. Yeah, SEASON. I will keep on writing stories however. Here goes the “season finish.”

I twitched and awoke. I had no shirt on and was not cold. I had about 3 blankets on top of me, and a few on my back to make bedding. I got up and put on my sauna robe. I walked out of the small lodging to hear a whispered conversation.

Sam: You think he’s alive?
Lil Turtle: I really hope so.
Roxanne: Me too.
Bowman: He’s tough. He’ll live.
Sam: Yeah, he’ll live.
Lil Turtle [starting to cry]: I will see if I can heal him again. I’ve tried for the past week, but nothing seems to work.
Me: Haha. No need! I’m okay.

They all stared, with blank faces, like they were in a dream.

Sam: Hey! Good to have you back. Now lets get off this floating piece of crap in the middle of nowhere!
Lil Turtle [giggling]: Yeah.
Bowman: Eh, good to have you back.
Roxanne: You still a little weak?
Me: Yeah, but I can handle a little of this and that.

I walked away from them, to get some air. Just then, I heard the Spearman’s voice.

Spearman: Hey foo, back already?
Me: Yeah.
Spearman: Man, I wanna say sorry.

He walked over and patted me on the shoulder.

Me [wonder]: Um, thanks?
Spearman: Hell no. You’re too trusting. I’ve come to end your life, NOW!!!

He untied a Black Sack and pulled out from his pocket, many more Black Sacks. He untied all of all of them. Master Chronos, Aliens, Robots, and many numerous monsters appeared. He used Hyper Body to boost his HP. I, was still weak. The monsters trampled me. I gave out a loud scream. Sam and Lil Turtle came running out. Sam launched numerous Ice Strikes, and froze all the monsters. Lil Turtle hastily killed the rest with Holy Arrow. By this time, the Spearman retreated back into the trees. Lil Turtle ran to me, with tears. She used some heal on me, which seemed ineffective. She used many repeated Heals. Nothing worked. I gave a small grin. Sam teleported over.

Me: My time is up.
Lil Turtle [sobbing]: No. . . don’t say that! It’s not over. . . I can Heal you. . . I know I can.
Me: Nah. I’m done for. It’s okay.

Tears started coming out of my eyes and messing with my vision

Sam: Dude, I can look for the Power Elixir, I know I can find it!
Me: No, don’t waste your time. I was gonna die sooner or later, and you guessed it. I’m going to die sooner, rather than later.

Streams of tears were now coming from Lil Turtle’s eyes.

Me [grinning]: It’s okay. Go get some other guy. I’m too wild for you anyways.
Lil Turtle [still crying]: I love you. . . I can’t leave you.
Me: Heh. I love you too, but my time is short. I think you guys will make it back to Vic Island safely.
Me: Sam, help yourself to the Ilbis and my stuff. You too Lil Turtle. My stuff is yours now.
Sam: I couldn’t. . . I’m sor—
Me: Man shut up and take the stuff. You got nothing to be sorry for. Love you two. . . bye.

I gave Lil Turtle a kiss, and Sam a firm handshake. I lie down. I took one last breath, and closed my eyes. Those eyes weren’t ever going to open again.
