Ch 10 – Are you alright?

“No,” he replied.

“Why?” Jake asked curiously.

“I just realized. I’m messed up and I shouldn’t of done that. I’m sorry, but I can’t kill you. You made a promise to your friend didn’t you. I’m sure you’ll live and you won the fight.”

“What the heck is happening!?” Jake exclaimed.

Mark took his Berserker and put it to his neck. He then waved to Jake with a smile on his face as if he was doing something right. Mark hit himself in the neck with his stone sword and committed suicide. Jake was rubbing his as trying not to cry.

Jake wasn’t paying any attention and forgot if he didn’t save himself sometime soon he was going to die. He looked the at the ground. His eyes widened and he screamed. Then he slowly started to calm down as he tried to think of a way to save himself. Jake was getting closer and closer to the ground. In about two minutes he would be dead if he didn’t hurry. Then he had an idea.

“I could shoot some Holy Arr-” Jake said not finishing what he was going to say because something wasn’t right.

When he must’ve had a stroke he had dropped his wand. Now what was he going to do? His plan was ruined. He though harder and harder, but he still couldn’t think of anything. Jake still couldn’t move that well because of the venom. He had one last thing that he could do. Jake slowly reached back into his bag bring out a potion. When he got his hand on it he gripped it tightly and pulled it as fast as he could which was still slow. Jake tried to cast a Holy Arrow when he had brought the potion around. There was no Holy Arrow. He had one more thing in his bag that he could try. Earlier in his lifetime he went to a shop in Henseys and bought an umbrella because it was out late and it was pouring rain. He reached back into his bag one more time. The ground was thirty seconds away and the venom was wearing off, but it wasn’t fast enough to get it in thirty seconds. Then he remembered. Mark’s body was still right beside him. Jake reached out and grabbed his shirt. Then he slipped Mark under him, so he would take the damage.

“Yes,” Jake mumbled.

The two of them hit the ground, but still Mark’s body wasn’t enough to break the fall. Jake had broken his arm that was not stone.

It was about 9:00 in Orbis. Michael gazed up at the stars as he sat on a bench alone. Nobody else was around and the town was empty. Through the other portal it was a whole different story, but Michael had to get to that portal and make it to the Hair Salon. He wanted to disguise himself. He didn’t mind if he couldn’t, he just didn’t want to fight much.

About fifteen minutes later Michael started to here some footsteps. He was half asleep and wasn’t paying attention to anything. By the time he noticed the person was right in front of him.

“Should you be at home or something.” the person said.

“Oh, sorry. I wasn’t feeling well, so I thought I should get some air.” Michael replied after about thirty seconds.

“Well, I’ll give you a warning. Don’t come out so late at night. Everybody has to be inside their houses at 7:00 PM sharp. Next time you are you’ll be arrested. I won’t tell anybody, but I suggest you leave now.” the person said turning out to be a guard.
“Ok, I start heading home.” Michael said pulling himself up off the bench.

“Darn it. I have to knock him out because if he sees me heading towards the Orbis Tower to hide then he’ll get suspicious. Well, anything to save my friend.” Michael said to himself.

Michael got up off the bench and walked towards the guard as if his home were that way. Then he quickly unsheathed his Blue Screamer and knocked the guard really hard in the back of the head, knocking him out.

“I’m sorry. You were so nice, but I’m just so mean. Well, if you get in my way then I will kill you. That’s just a warning.” Michael said grinning evilly.

Michael started walking towards the Orbis Tower, so he could spend his night there. It’s better than dying. He walked up the portal and went through it. It quickly teleported him to the tower. He was walking straight checking his surrounds and then he felt no ground beneath his feet. Michael started falling down. He looked down and saw it was not a big fall, but it was going to hurt. Michael’s body hit the ground and he smacked his face on the ground. Then he felt an unbelievable pain in his back. He slowly turned his head around and saw a little stone ball. Michael was terrified.

“Somebody help me!” Michael screamed as it echoed through the tower.

Then all of a sudden the floating stone ball shattered into pieces. Michael didn’t see what happened because it was too fast.

“Hello,” said a voice.

Michael wiped the blood off his face and straightened himself up a bit because it was embarrassing seeing that he had blood all over his face from just a tiny fall.

“W-who’s there?” Michael yelled back.

“Jeese, I’m right here you don’t have to scream.” the voice replied.

The person got closer and turned out to be a female assassin which there were very few of because girls weren’t into killing much these days. They mostly just stayed at home around doing all the tough work.

“Oh, sorry.” Michael replied staring at the girl with gorgeous blonde hair and lots of freckles on her face along with bright green eyes.

“Oh, don’t worry about it.” she replied.

“What brings you here?” Michael asked curiously.

“Oh, well, I’m escaping from Orbis. Living there just really scared me. Well, what about you?” she said.

“Oh, me? Well. . .” Michael started to say.

“Come on tell me. Or is it just because we just met. Oh, sorry then.” she said apologizing.

“Well, I don’t know. Can I trust you?” Michael asked.

“Oh, yeah I guess.”
