You’re an Angel? – Nine

Ch 9 – Fight in the sky.

They both were going to die once they hit the ground and they knew it. Their lives were almost up. Jake carefully aimed at Mark, but it was hard because they were falling to the ground and Jake was so scared that he was shaking which made it harder to hit him. He then stopped aiming at Mark.

“Since none of us are really going to live lets just make this fun while the time being.” said Mark chuckling.

“I’m not going to die. I’m going to find a way to stop myself from smashing into the ground and dying. You won’t get the chance to see because you’ll be dead.” Jake said drinking a mana potion.

He carefully aimed the wand once more at Mark. Jake took a deep breathe and told himself over and over that he was going to live. Then a strong wind from the Holy Arrow he was casting was blowing towards Mark. Mark took his Berserker and got ready to block the arrow. Jake concentrated and then quickly released the arrow from his wand and put a hole through the Berserker into Mark’s chest. He coughed up little bits of blood.

“Darn it. I have to admit I’ve never seen a Holy Arrow as strong as that one, but I’m alright.” Mark said clearing his throat from the blood.

Mark reached into his pocket and pulled out an odd shaped bottle. It was a bottle which contained a liquid called venom. It was very rare and few people knew how to make it. This bottle was up to one million mesos. It poisoned the enemy and made their attacks and themselves get ten times slower. He shook the bottle up and pulled the cork out then tossed it behind him.

“I studies years and found out how to make this liquid when I was ten. I’ve been making these for years now and they’re the best out there. This little bottle helped me win many battles.” Mark said uncovering the bottle with his hand so the liquid wouldn’t spill.

Mark took the liquid and the bottle. He then threw it at Jake and it shattered on his shoulder, causing it to bleed. The venom spilled all over Jake and he then smiled.

“You’re not going to win this fight. I promised my friend that I would win and if I lied that would make me a liar, so watch and see me kick the heck outta ya.” Jake said.

“You’re not going to win this fight. I promise myself that I would win and if I lied than that would make me a liar. Yeah, whatever. It doesn’t matter if you promise it matters how great you are at fighting and that’s definitely not you. Well, you are a good fighter, but I’m better. My Berserker can grow back to it’s normal form even if you put a hole in it, too.” Mark said grinning evilly.

“Well, you’re a liar. Not all the time you can keep your promise and I certainly keep all of mine. Just you watch, moron.” Jake said with an angry look on his face.

Jake quickly started casting more Holy Arrows, but this time he was casting ten of them. You had to be a highly skilled Cleric to do that. Only a few people alive can do that. The gust from the Holy Arrow was so strong that this time it sent Mark back real far. Jake closed one eye and tried his best to land all ten arrows on Mark. He launched the Holy Arrows that were going one-hundred miles per hour at Mark. Luckily, only one struck him in the ankle which shattered it into tiny pieces.

“Ahh, that hurt! Well, anyway that will be your last Holy Arrow as fast as your last one. The venom should be kicking in any minutes now.” Mark said in pain.

“What the heck is happening? My vision it’s blurry. I’m not feeling too well right now. Darn it. He’s going to win.” Jake said to himself.

Jake was having a severe stroke. The time couldn’t of been any better for Mark right now. He could kill Jake right now if he wanted to.

“Alright, it’s time to get serious now. I’m going to kill you just like I promised.” Mark hollered over to Jake.

There was no response. Mark didn’t know that Jake was suffering from a stroke right now, but why was he having it now and at such a young age?

“Hey, don’t ignore me. Answer me right now. I’m not an idiot answer me right now!” screamed Mark angrily.

What the heck? Did I pass out or something because I know I didn’t die. That was odd. How come when I try to wake up I can’t. Well, I have to try my best or I’m dead once Mark gets over here. I have to get the rarest type of stroke of them all. A very rare one. No one was really sure if it was a stroke, but that‘s what the call it.

Michael prayed that Jake would be alright and not die by jumping off the boat, but he doubted he would survive. He kept scolding himself because of what he kept thinking, but it was the truth.

Jake opened his right eye, but that’s all he could do. He saw as Mark slowly approached him by yanking his body towards Jake. It was a scary feeling and he couldn’t even do anything about it. Jake then got somewhat of his other eye open.

“You really were awake. The venom must be kicking in, but you should be able to move.” Mark said bringing his Berserker up over his head, getting ready to crush Jake.

Jake then had an idea. He slowly tried to reach back into his bag for a potion. Mark was almost ready to swing his Berserker. Jake almost had his hand on his bag. Mark was ready to swing the heavy stone sword at Jake. It was all over. There was only one thing left that he could do now. Jake quickly spit at Mark, but it just hit him in the face and made him mad.

Mark tightened the grip on his stone sword and threw it behind his head and got ready to swing it again which gave Jake more time to get the potion out of his bag. He slowly moved his arm a bit closer to his bag until he felt leather. His face lit up and he got excited then opened it. By the time Jake got his hand on the bottle Mark already was ready to swing his sword. If he didn’t tire himself out so much than Jake would be dead, but he did. He quickly brought the sword down and swung it as hard as he could.

“Wrong leg, idiot.” Jake said grinning.

“What?!” Mark yelled surprised.

He had hit the stone leg and didn’t injure Jake. Jake clutched the potion and then he realized he had to take the cork out. If he wanted to do that then he needed his other hand. Mark would notice that then. Jake had luck in the beginning, but it ran out very soon.

Meanwhile Mark was taking a break and tried to regain his energy since Jake couldn’t do anything about it. The odd so called stroke he had went away, but the venom started kicking in.

“Just kill me.” Jake said.
