Doublethink

Doublethink. A strange word from George Orwell’s book Nineteen-Eighty-Four. What does it mean? We turn to Wikipedia for that:

Wikipedia said: “Doublethink is the act of simultaneously and fervently holding two mutually contradictory beliefs.”

Or a better and more detailed (and confusing) quotation:

Wikipedia said: “The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them . . . To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies — all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.”

How does this affect us? Every day in Maple, thousands of Maplers utilize doublethink without even knowing it. Heck, I bet most of them don’t know what doublethink means.
Doublethink is mainly used to motivate and/or demotivate.
For example: Maple is fun and boring. Maple is good and bad. Apply doublethink to those, and that’s MapleStory for you.
Okay, now that I’ve gone over that to get you hooked, onto the blog! . . . Wait, this is the blog!
Ehehehe…[/run!!]

“…”

“Are they gone yet?”

“Oh goodie.”

*crack* *shunk* *twang* *sthink* *pong*

[ghostspeak]Well, that’s the last of them.[/ghostspeak]

*BLAM* *BLAM* *BOOM*

“Okay, what!!! They don’t friggin have guns or bombs on Maple!!!”

Okay, enough of the space waste.
Onto part II of teh blog!

Real Life
W00t! Just got back from a trip to the Kings Canyon National Park! Fun fun fun! I hiked a lot, climbed a bunch of rocks (Insanely. Coulda killed myself -_-), and had fun. Lots and LOTS of fun! SO F–What? Oh, it seems I only have 15 min to type this blog. Anyways, there was a lot of snow too, and I got into a big snowball fight that ended with me bringing a huge chunk of snow that looked like a sword onto my opponent’s head.
. . .
I’m not crazy, nor psycho.
. . .
Also went to the Sequoia National Park, where I saw the General Sherman Tree. It was tall! And the biggest tree in the world. Also very tall, but not the tallest. It seemed so mighty…so I pegged it with a snowball to see what would happen.
*Fwap!*
Impact!
1 damage.
Annoyed, I started barreling the tree with tons and tons of snow. Until I got dragged away from the tree. Ehehehe…I’m not crazy.
Oh yeah, and it is…

Whew, that took a while. *checks watch* 9 more min only! Anyways, Winter Break=AWESOME. It also let me do something in Maple I thought impossible, which brings me to the next catagory.

M[b] a [b]p l e S t o r y !!!
Augh, that’s a fancy title. MapleStory. Anyways…
I,
Ipod123432 (known as Pod),
Have LEVELED!!!!
. . .
*cough* my spearman to level 35. *cough*

After losing many times at the d@mn Carnival PQ (which you guys should do, if you can get in), I finally leveled!!!
. . .
By killing a rat in Ludi. Later, I ran off to get my Nakamaki, which looks HELLA AWESOME!!
Also went to do my first LPQ (first pic). Practically empty because everyone went off to Carnival.

And speaking of Ludi, my bandit got bored and went…
Of all places…
That Maze Party quest.

*shudder*

Anyone remember my “Devil’s Digit” Blog? If you don’t, read it and weep (and like it).

Surprisingly, it was actually pretty good. From 9Am-4:30Pm I party quested relentlessly. Starting at 49%, I slowly worked myself up to 75%, went to eat, came back, and got to 90%. Then, Duey, the pet merch, coco, and MapleStory all rebelled against me.
They thought I was too fast.
So once every three times I double-clicked one of them, I would d/c. F*CK!!!
I don’t know WHY!
Why did they rebel? Why? WHY?!?!?
So eventually I got to 98.62%, then died. Got to 99.06%, then died. Got to a frickin 99.86%, then died. Finally, I got to 99.87%, only to have my party start to miss like the devil didn’t want me to get in. It took an hour, but I finally got in for my last PQ. I remember it clearly. I stole all of the tickets (because I was greedy), didn’t fight, and went to the exit after collecting. Ironically, it seemed as if God had helped me. 300 tickets. Exactly. What a coincidence! Wiping off a bead of sweat, I let the leader get the tickets, and heard the unfamiliar rouse of a “bring!” signalling a level up. So now I’m level 67, with everything useful maxed. 19 mastery, 19 endure, 1 steal (for kicks), max booster, max Savage Blow, max Haste, and a level one first job skill.

Pretty sure you can all guess this.

Hey, I wanted to seem like a sin for a bit. Went off shouting “CC PLZ” as usual. Btw, I had level 1 lucky seven @ level 66.
Soo….
Yeah.
Thanks for reading!
Oh yeah, and I’ve noticed a lot of fanfics are cropping up.
link and link motivated meh. I also say Maple Kombat on YouTube rules (Go dray86!). Yeah. Now press that little orange button down there. It won’t bite…I hope (no refunds).

Edit: Someone click the like it button so I reach triple digits! And the next person, click it so I reach 101, a palindrome! I’ll give you guys a cookie. Oh yeah, I declare a friendly, non-violent *cough*, like-it war on Kitsch. Because I feel like it. And my Blog:Like it ratio is only off because I wrote bad first blogs, then gradually evolved into good blogs. Like it? Good.

  1. I demand a refund. That button BIT ME when I clicked it. >O!

You might want to check out if you need to max master completely for fourth job. I know I have to. ._.

  2. For level 35’s, rush LPQ > losing MCPQ over and over.
Unless you have some really good friends, or you use the cheap warrior elixir trick (and don’t die).

  3. 1984? I had to read that book for English class. It was an interesting read, to say the least.

Also, I demand a refund as well. That’s a rogue button you’ve got there, laddy – bit me thrice and a half, it did! In fact, I should get refunded three and a half times for that.

  4. Also, I just noticed, I’ve only written 8 blogs and I have the same amount of likes as you do.
