“Kill him in one shot,” the voice from the communicator boomed.
“Roger that,” the thief replied while getting out a poisoned-tip ilbi.

~~~~~Back to Tristan~~~~~
The richly flourished Henesys never failed to impress me. The barren wastelands of Perion brought…too many memories.
~~~~~FlashBack~~~~~7-8 years ago~~~~~
The rain was leaking into the soggy shed as the wet sand maneuvered itself between my toes. The lack of vegetation and rock solid ground made it impossible for any water to ever leak into the floor. Only sand and tiny rocks decorated the floor.
“Mommy, Daddy, why are all the other houses so big and fancy and ours so small?” I asked.
“Because son, all the other people were paid off…by “them”,” my father replied.
“But we stand for what we believe is right,” my mother said.
“Who is “them” and what did they do?” I asked.
“When you get older, you’ll understand,” my mother said with a bleak smile. All of a sudden there was a banging on the door.
“Tristan, go hide yourself in the closet,” my father ordered as he gripped his sword.
“B-but,” I started to protest.
“Just do it,” my mother commanded as she reached for her wand. I ran into our empty closet and shut the door and peered through the keyhole. The banging grew louder and louder and eventually the door got kicked down. But the door flew directly at mom and knocked her to the floor.
“Honey, are you-“ he was interrupted by the sound on metal cleaving raw flesh. I tried to scream but it only came out as a silent choke.
“Dan!” my mother cried. But she too fell to the floor with a large gash on her body. Even in pain my parent rose and fought back. My father swung his sword against one of the warriors and sliced his arm. My mother shot a greenish ball at one of the thieves. Then a giant man emerged from the others and shoved them aside. He took his and only swung once and my parents’ resistance was over.

~~~~~Back to Tristan~~~~~
I blocked my memories of that day from my mind and focused on the scenery before me. The grass shone beautifully under the morning sun magnified with dew. The multi-color flowers surrounded by butterflies swaying in the wind. The tall tree towering before the school with leaves as green as Ireland. The ilbi heading straight toward my head. The long savannah-ILBI! The ilbi was going directly at my head. I jumped back but I knew it was too late, it was going to fast. All those painful memories swelled up in me again, I almost welcomed this death.
