Post-Leveling Randomness

I had quite the day!

I was hunting Jr. Yeti so that I could lvl my fire mage from 51 to 52. I managed to kill some transformed Yeti so my brother (who was watching me) convinced me to show him another Yeti. So I went over a few stages and found the big Yeti. I figured I could take them too, but one yeti is much easier than several. They killed me ^_^;;;

I went back to training and FINALLY leveled!

So, having leveled I was suddenly free to go do whatever insane thing I wanted, no worries about losing EXP. I decided to use a Dead Mine scroll that I had picked off the ground a while ago. (Yeah, I know they’re worth a lot of money but I wanted to see the Dead Mine). Turns out I am quite capable of killing the zombies as long as I have lots of potion. There were lots of dumb people saying “cc plz”. I hate it when people who are only killing a few monsters at a time think they need the whole map. I would never want to hunt zombies because of all the territorial people.

But I started making my way out of the mine and the zombie fields and I got to a stage of white pangs. Okay, that’s cool, I’m a fire mage so I can pwn white pangs. But in the next stage there was a lycanthrope… LOL

I hit the lycanthrope and then quickly climbed the rope away from it. It was howling and upping it’s own stats. I figured, hey, I’ll jump down, hit it, and quick jump back up… it’s just walking around. Well I jumped down, and instanty its claws came out and it slashed me to tiny little mage peices. I don’t think I have ever been so completely owned in Maple Story before. Not even that time I took on Tauromacis was this bad.

So why was this death and destruction a good experience? It was crazy fun o.o

  1. Death is all part of the experience. I remember sliding around in an El Nath map, then I slammed right into a Dark YnP spawn. x_X It was still fun, though.
