Chapter Two – January 13, 2007 (Saturday)

In one swoop Unholy bore his Zedbug down towards Legend. Letting go of the magic circle and Black Hole Legend jumped out of the way and landed flat against a wall. Beholder shook off her fear and stood up – assuming an offensive position. Legend snarled as Unholy slowly trapped her into the corner of the room.

“So what, dear enemy, are you going to do now?” Unholy stared at Legend.
“Get out of here and get my revenge on the one who gave me the accursed box,” Legend retorted.
“Accursed box?” Beholder questioned.
“That box is what gave us our powers. That box was the ruin of our lives,” a voice rang from the doorway.

Under the debilitated doorway in all his gallantry stood a crusader wielding a large black teethed sword, the Bone Crusher. His red hair was combed back and a piece of delicious white bread was stuck between his lips. His cool eyes and Oaker armour made him look angelic from the white contrast of the outside.

“And who might you be?” Unholy ask, swerving around.
“They call me Martol. I am very much like the girl whom you hold in that small corner over there. If you don’t want to be hurt, I suggest you leave her and us alone. We have more important things to get over and done with then fight against an opposition that we don’t want,” the crusader replied.
“So you’re a Hacker too!” Beholder stated without turning around.
“Correct,” Martol replied calmly.
“Then you’re scum just like her!” Beholder swerved around and launched herself towards Martol.

Martol closed his eyes and as he slowly opened them a huge magic circle glowed around his feet. A huge red door with a dragon insignia on it appeared behind him. Its colossal doors quickly opened inward and a selection of knives, swords, and daggers slowly emerged tip first. Unholy gaped at the sight as Beholder stopped in her tracks just a few inches short of the magical circle.

“The Magic Selection … The weapons deriving from one of the oldest Kings who had control of most everything … The power of Gilgamesh …” Legend whispered.
“Say what?” Unholy turned back to her with anger dancing in his eyes.
“You can’t stop him,” Legend smirked.
“Get any closer, GM, and I will unleash my assault on you and your friend,” Martol threatened.
“Try me,” Beholder smiled.
“Then feel the undying power of The Magic Selection!” Martol cried.

In one swift movement of his right arm, the Bone Crusher disappeared. With his right hand by his side Martol moved his left hand towards his chest and then straightened it out with palm facing Beholder and Unholy. Suddenly a surge of sharply pointed knives, swords, and daggers flew wildly at the GM and Legitimate player.

“****,” Unholy cursed.

At that very moment, Legend thrust her left elbow into Unholy’s abdominal area and summoned her own magic circle. Then she ran towards Martol; her blue hair flying behind her. The artillery went right through her as she ran past Martol and jumped through the door.

“How on earth did she –?” Beholder screeched.
“With her magic circle to protect her – my onslaught goes past her. In fact, I can control what I hit, and I just chose to not hit her,” Martol smiled.
“You son of a gun!” Unholy’s voice cracked as Martol back flipped into the giant door.

The door disappeared as soon as Martol jumped in. Legend and Martol had gotten away, but as to where; Beholder and Unholy didn’t know.

“Damn!” Beholder banged her fist against the rotten floorboards, “those Hackers won’t get away next time!”
“I’m out of here …” Unholy whispered as he slowly got to his feet and exited the doorway.
“Where are the other GMs when you need one?” Beholder roared – her voice echoing in the house.
