Common Scams, dont fall for them

Here’s another guide to help y’all not lose your Mesos and Equips xP.

Selling NX Cash:

Totally fake, a scam-

Person1: Selling NX Cash! 100k for 1000 NX@@@@
Person2: Me! *clicks trade*
Person1: You want 1000NX right? Put in 100k.
Person2: *places 100k in trade slot, clicks trade*
Person1: Runs off with money and leaves this poor person crying for the loss of the money

Drop Games

Never Ever Play, leave it at that.

Free money/Drop

Someone asks you to follow them to a plastic Surgery place, or Fusion Bar, or some place. That person has someone hiding behind a wall or sumthing.

Person1: Can you drop all your equips? I want a ss for my website!
Person2: ok
Person1: Stand here *leads person2 to a place near a wall or hiding spot*
Person2: *drops rare equips*
Person3: *pops up from behind the wall or hiding spot and jacks items*
Person1&3: *run away/log off*

Trading/Buying/Selling Fame:

This isnt always a scam. Make your own judgement, not recommended.

Credits to KaiLuna, Duplicating Items

You cant duplicate items-

Person1: Wanna learn how to duplicate items?
Person2: Yeah sure ^^!
Person1: *trades Person2*
Person1: Watch, *puts in 1 item, and then puts in another item, exactly the same*
Person2: WOW!!!
Person1: *cancels trade* The way you do it is press TabTabSpaceEnter
Person2: *puts in panlid* *presses TabTabSpaceEnter*

–Trade closes and the message pops up “Trade is Succesful”–

TabTabSpaceEnter is a command that presses trade for you. That way, they can jack your items -_-. stinks doesnt it?

  1. Aha. Reminds me of the time I scammed a scammer.

Me: “Right, now do we play this?”
n00b; “You drop your equips like this.”
Me: *takes them* Then you steal them like this?
    n00b: “Hey! Give those back.”
    Me: “You’re a dumbass.”

On another note, I have ~115 fame, about 80 were from trading and buying.

  2. you never know. there are some messed up peopel out there -_- ive met teh worst and seen teh worst XD

  3. In truth, there are several ways of duplicating items. When I first came on to KMS, I had already knew how to do it because it was the same methods of duplicating items from Diablo 2. For those that know how to do “Packet Sniffing and Grabbing” you know that it takes patience while learning it, but once you have it down, you can do it in a hearts whim. Well a friend of mine who I used to play JMS with, had a character in KMS and he said KMS was less crouded (and at the time, it was), so I made one there. I got banned because I wanted all of the items he had and since he lived down the street from me, he handed me his account info, I copied the items with ease and without consiquence. After I had all of the items on my account, I quickly copied all of them several times and sold them in the shops for money to buy potions. I did this until I had around 2mil extra. Then, I had a message pop up and I was booted from the game with a message that summed up, “Banned for Hacking” but seeing I was unable to read the characters, my friend had to translate for me.

Duping via packet sniffing and grabbing is extremely hard for Wizet to catch, but at the same time, if people see it, it is extremely easy to tell seeing that the items flood out of you like a waterfall if you are unaware of how to stop the packet grabber. (This also works for getting EXP, mesos that you drop/pick up and so forth).

No worries, I am not talking about how to hack crap, just making you aware that there are hacks out there that you can NEVER patch. But also, this same method is known for “Trade Hacks” which is used on a person on their first trade, the packets are nabbed and when the trade window is opened again quickly, they got the last piece of the packets they needed, and in turn, have the packet that you sent to them saying the trade was confirmed, then they click trade before you can close it out.

If you want a list of “Warnings” and noticable elements of a Packet hacker, let me know, I’ll send you a list of them.

  4. Okay, Due to an abundance of people messaging me about this post, I am going to go ahead and post the list in here. (Since I posted that response, I have had 36 people message me x_X) So, in turn, here is a basic list of things you will see happen around MS if there is a packet hacker around you.

Several signs that you know a Packet Hacker is around.

Items/Mesos come out of them 1 at a time really fast (ex. potions and mesos (1 mesos picked up)).

Screen being flooded with items and mesos (like in town).

When you go to trade and there are more than one item that has the same stats (scrolled).

Items blink in the trade screen.

Random spots all over the map start spitting out items (in town).

Someone levels a couple of times while standing in town.

If you are on a small map with no one around and the map takes serious lag to where you are booted and when you come back there are items everywhere.

Those are a basic list of them, if you had a packet watcher, I could give you a larger list.

Also forgot to mention that for people who have fought Zakum and have packet grabbed his drops, you will see a person spit out a TON of items all at once when they launch the packet from when zakum died.

  5. Lol. I have had that happen as well, It was hilarious though, seeing that they aren’t coded as a player, but instead, a monster. His name was Rogmuncher, And so when he turned into a monster, I didn’t really notice it because of the map we were on hid his name. He ran at me as a Jr. Rog (this was back in KMS when I had an uber sin) and I owned him before he had the chance to say, “Dude, it’s me” and when he died, I got the full exp from what the Rog would have given and he lost a % of his exp, He came back and chewed me out for it and I was all, “Dude, all I saw was some rog running at me like crazy, “

  6. lol this Nodaku guy makes me laugh soo hard, what is a Packet Hacker? ok i admit my friends are hackers and this packet crap is bull. And your friend that “turned” into a jr rog that u owned with your “uber sin” , You really crack me up man

  7. Learn more about packets, then talk kiddo. Or do you just happen to think that information is so abundant that it is sent in a solid stream? You may find me funny, but in truth you can manipulate every moving thing via packets. Diablo 2 is where I learned about packets. For those of which that don’t know, and you seem to be one of them, packets are pieces of information that are sent out and retrieved by anything computer related. Online games use an abundance of these to get information of character movement, spawn rates and item drops. As for the Rog and my friend, had I ever mentioned what version of Maple Story it is in? As to what I can read while I type this, and as to what I recall from my posts prior, I never once mentioned anything about a version aside.

And as for saying that hacking via packets is bull, Kid, just do me the favor and slap the crap out of yourself for me, You really need to learn more about computers, the internet and their superstructers before you flap your gums about something you know nothing about. As for your friend, using programs 90% of the time doesn’t explain how they work, now does it? Using this ‘Vac’ hack and crap isn’t even a hack either, its just a part of the coding in the game basis that triggers a reaction to your character, or if you think it runs from a program and you are forced to use it, then yes, that is another way.

But until you can go and do dos prompted commands to manipulate a game, which is 90% of the basis for gathering information on packets, don’t speak. Simple enough, no?

  8. For NX scams, it should also be noted that selling NX cash for anything in-game is agsint the game’s terms and is a bannable offense.

  9. They would make more money if we could trade NX Cash for real but I guess cash doesn’t interest them

  10. Well in different versions of Maplestory (not sure which one) they have sacks of mesos that you can buy in the cash shop. Im not sure of the prices but the best one ive seen was 750,000 mesos in one bag. If it were pretty cheap id buy it (but i doubt it is).

  11. the nx cash for money trade was banned for a reason
my friend recently got scammed for 1mill [even though that wasnt even 1/10 of his money]
but this is great, a lot of this scams are so brainless. if you use common sense, it wont happen.

and the fame thing, – extremely shakey.

    :] thanks for the review.

  12. NX Cash Selling is illegal, for a good reason too. Sure, there are people out there who can’t get NX cash items for the lack of a credit card, but by selling NX Cash for items or mesos gives people that have alot of money in RL an unfair advantage over people that do not have alot of money. Ever wonder why there aren’t stats on the items in the CS? MapleStory is a virtual world, and your status in RL should not affect your status in MS. (A 13 year old kid with no money should be able to be as powerful as an 18 year old with a few hundred to spare) It just keeps things fair.

and, hahaha,Handsomest, Packet Hacking is a VERY real thing.just for your information,

  13. i almost got scammed when i was new to ms.Some guy just trades me and says if i want nx.i say yes (since i diddnt now much about ms)and says to put in 12k.i put in and he says he sent it already.i diddnt trade in yet so i went to check if i got.when i get back, the guy left.i dont remember his name so he got saved from probobly being banned.

  14. NX Cash selling is illegal for one reason only, one which Wizet has posted on the GMS website: Many people trading NX Cash or cash shop items have possibly used stolen credit cards to make the NX Cash purchases (They say most do use stolen cards, but I think that’s a load). I’m sorry to break it to you, but Wizet could care less about whether an 18 year old has a few hundred dollars lying around and a 14 year old doesn’t (Actually they do, but only in the interest of making some money off the 18 year old).
