Merchanting

Been trying my hand at a little selling using Basil Market. So far some things have sold, one person didn’t even bother to reply or even answered any attempt to contact me (that guy got my first negative feedback). If he’d PM’d back and said he wasn’t interested in the item I would’ve just put it back on auction straight away.

I got a 51 attack Eagle Crow for 149K which is cheaper then I’ve seen most of them going for (160-170K). I don’t care if it’s got empty slots or not, I just want to shoot stuff with it and I’m that flat broke that I can’t afford scrolls for it. I have one scroll for Crossbow for attack but I’m saving that for possibly a Rower.

That scroll is NOT for sale and neither is my overall scroll for dex (that is getting saved for higher armour or maybe my sauna robe).

I really don’t like standing in the FM repeating the same crap over and over again. This is without the random traders who keep trying to do the cold selling on you and wasting your time. If you’re reading and you’re one of them please know that you’re just annoying people and you should either stop or go play with the traffic. Even if I was after the item I wouldn’t buy it from a cold seller because I know they bug people and I refuse to encourage it.

So there’s my current attempt at selling junk. If anyone wants any pig ribbons, curse eye tails, 1H BW forging manual, cloud fox tails, or a cutlus let me know or look up the auctions on Basil Market.

  1. Bwahaah. Selling anything (IG items, ect.) is not allowed. <3 Take that part somewhere else, otherwise not too shabby a blog.

  2. Err, usually when people I am trading with never show up or contact me, I don’t leave feedback at all unless they do first . . . because I have the same problem, usually. My online time is completely random, so I can never tell anyone an exact schedule.

  3. Sakura Cellions good sorce of money. Reach about 5m (3-10 levels?) , buy scrolls uberly cheap, sell 400k over priced or whatever. . . If your low on money either merchant, or grind and think “lucky.”

  4. NPC every monster drop, unless you need it for quests or if you see others buying them. If you try to sell insignificant items such as monster drops, you’ll find yourself wasting your time. You could be using that time to make more money or level faster (which should give you somewhat more money).

    Just a tip.

  5. Oh, just on a side note. Don’t use MapleStory to buy items that you plan on merchanting. The meetings can really waste your time (time is money here, and since you’re merchanting, money’s all you need). The Free Market is your friend. So are inexperienced players (the ones who don’t know prices for anything). If you feel bad about scamming, think of it as bargaining. Remember, don’t let anything stop you from getting money. Integrity doesn’t matter in this game.

Just playing, but yes. Bargain and shop. Remember, the only good role that BasilMarket plays in merchanting is that prices there are generally higher than the Free Market (on Broa, at least) so that’s a great place to sell. Or, if you own a shop, use that. Sorry for blabbering on and on. I felt like helping out.

  6. We don’t have Amoria in EMS so after I do the level 32 Icarus Quest (if it’s in EMS and my patience last long enough to get 50 stirge wings) I might go to “kitties” and train there for exp/loot (some of the drop some pretty neat stuff). I actually completely sold at random some ETC stuff. Right place right time I guess.
