Let the flame war begin!

It has come to my attention, that the fight about GOPQ has been blown way out of proportions, leading to a strike, and now to an attack. link I know many of you are tired of reading about the monotonous rant of a mapler (or ex-mapler in my case), but give me your ears one more time. . .
First off I would like to thank GOPQ for showing me the side, and the reason why hackers hack. I’ve GOPQed once or twice before, and I’d like to come clean. . . It really is one of the fastest training methods I’ve ever experienced, even though its frowned upon. However, this experience has deemed the word “Illegit”, and similar to a hacker. And now that I’ve almost experienced what its like to hack first-hand, I can safely say, that to all the hackers with a reason to hack out there, I’m sorry I’ve insulted you, and called you dirt. Now before I continue rabbling on, I’d like to get to the central idea of this blog.

For the attack going on today, you can and you most definitely will be reported for harrassment since you are, deliberately harrassing GOPQers, which can get you temporarily banned. The strike, was non-violent resistance, so nothing could actually be done to you, so I would not recommend people joining this so called attack , but not for the reason of getting GOPQ fixed, but more for maplers own personal safety.

Secondly, as hard this might be to believe, I actually am against the strike, and theattack. If all of you are taking this much time from your own lives, and this must dedication, to get at least a glimmering hope that GOPQ will be fixed, I’m sure it would take half of that amount of dedication and time to ignore it. I finally feel how hackers do, being discriminated, and everyone going against them (that is the intelligent, nice, generous hackers, that aren’t dumb as a pile of bricks). Yes, yes I know that abusing a glitch is against the ToS, but honestly, if you call GOPQer’s scumbags, and dirt, why are you taking so much of your personal time, to stop them. All this dedication and time, could be all going to something more usefull, and more severe in the MS community for example (new alert systems, and ways of reporting trade scams, and such). And even if you despise GOPQ, what right do any of you have to say anything to anyone. Sure I won’t take away your rights to be racist, or to hate someone without knowing them, I’m just saying, Keep it to yourself, and move along. It’s not even as bad as the hacker issue. At least GOPQer’s are confined to one place, and to stick to it. Think about it. . . .

  1. Yah, things are starting to get outta hand with the strikes and whattnot. In Channel 1 n’ stuff, the strikers were trying to cover up anyone joining a GPQ, but that also hindered people who were legit.

  2. This is the biggest war I’ve ever seen. Even bigger than the hacker’s war. . . which wasn’t much of a war. More like just ranting.

I don’t see why the GMs didn’t find this and patch it up days ago, maybe even weeks ago.

  3. Haha. . . I remember when grinding wasn’t so bad.

. . . Then the reality of killing 100 monsters in order to gain 0.75% -1% set in and yeah.

  4. War?

    What war?

I didn’t even know that there was a war.

But then, I do live under a rock.

  5. They might as well just close OPQ you know. I’m wondering why they haven’t done that ‘cept for the fact that many people might quit, but c’mon, can’t say that it isn’t totally not your fault. Besides they might as well quit after level 71, no more PQ’s, back to training. The so-call hacker war could not be won by legit people, the GMs fixed it up, and I think that many people knew that it couldn’t be won, so they just left them like that. They should either take out OPQ or make the pieces untradeable and only can drop in the OPQ maps [but only the person who got the pieces, which should be the leader, could be able to pick it up or drop it] A bit more confusing for the 2nd choice, so we might as well just take out OPQ and stop this -.-

  6. Hi Lazard =P I’m level 61 now, just thought I’d FINALLY come back on MMO Tales for a little while to say hi. I’ve done glitch PQ too, but some people get sucked into it by accident [*cough* not me]. Well, how’s life in Scania? o_O
