I think my Maple craze has settled down a bit, and I must confess that I am slowly being drawn back to GunBound. GunBound is a Korean shooting game, filled with strategy, skill, and teamwork. You can check it out at link.net.

The basic concept of GunBound is to either shoot down your enemies, or to make them fall off the map. You are given about 15 different machines to choose from, each with their unique shot style, strengths, and weaknesses. In a regular game, you can team up with up to 3 other people, playing a game of 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4. This game really helps me bond with school buddies, as we have to work together to play efficiently.

There are several factors in GunBound that can affect your shots.

-First off, there is WIND. Wind can cause your shots to curve up, down, and backwards in interesting flight patterns. It can be used strategically to fire at someone with a certain angle.

-Secondly, there are MOONS. Moons affect the landscape and can act as power ups or obstacles. Moons can cause varieties of landscape changes, ranging from whirling tornadoes that spin your rockets into crazy directions to heavenly forces that add damage.

-You are also given sets of ITEMS. Items include Double Shots, Bunge shots, Teleports and lots more. Typically, you can carry between 3 to 6 items with you to power up your rockets.

-Finally, there are AVATARS. These are equivalent to armor, and can raise your defense, your bunge prowess, your speed, your health, and your attack power. Strategic avatar sets can do many things to alter the course of the game. Avatars can also be bought with real life Cash, and Cash avatars usually have more attributes. The Cash avatars can cost anywhere between 5 and 30 dollars.
