It’s another weekend at home, back with my long-missed Maple Story. And have I got an update for you!

I HAVE A NEW DAGGER!!!

It happened so fast and easily, I couldn’t believe my sense of sight!

It happened earlier today, while I was training so desperately to finally get to lv 78(which probably won’t happen). Ever since I got the game on my compy, I finished two Mu Lung quests, each giving over 38k xp combined, before, after checking out what I had available, decided to train on the straw and wooden target-laden bouncing scarecrows east of town(yes, i know, I KNOW I’M CHEAP you don’t have to remind me, but it actually works pretty well. They deal virtually no damage, and from getting home ’till now, I’ve gotten from 19% to 52%. Leave me alone you naysayers!) read more

Whereas Genya and Amber were staying back at the Perion in, at the same time, the rest of the group was at the temple of Dances with Balrogs, the highest point of the town. Shadow, Lance, Skye, and Emma were all determined to know more of the details of the potential evil that was possibly dwelling in the maple world. Ever since reaching Perion the night before, the party of Shadow Viper, Lance, Skye, Emma, Genya, and Amber were thankful that they had made it. They were also exhausted from all the traveling, Lance and Skye even more so thanks to the boars. Their chance for sleep had finally come, along with the next hopeful step in their quest. They took the time to see if Dances with Balrogs was able to have an audience, but the locals told them he had already withdrawn for the night, but would be back in the morning. Thus, the group eagerly took to bed at the inn. read more

It wasn’t long before the darkness of night settled on Victoria Island. The single shining star that provided day gave way to a large collection of stars much farther away, all providing only minor glimmers in the blackness of the sky. The mountainous region of Perion, normally known for being warm and dry, instantly became significantly cooler without the sun above it. Many of the creatures scuttled into shelter for the night, though a few others were coming out for a nightly prowl. read more

Yeah, I did. Leveling in that game is so easy, it’s almost scary. I have no idea why!XD

Anyway, I did gain four levels over the course of two days. It was my little break from MS after beating the “find the ancient book” quest(also known as the TAKES FOR-FREAKING-EVER QUEST) on that game. So yeah, the lots of levels were lots of fun. Not to mention the yo-yos. *giggles uncontrollably* I just love those yo-yos! They’re like normal yo-yos, only they can beat things up.XD read more

Ah, good ol’ MS is still going well so far. Made it up to lv 72, and got a few more future quest items, mainly for that extremely long one about finding some legendary book or whatever. Lots of xp to gain from that one.^_^

However, even I, as big a fan of that game as the next mmoer, need a break from that game. T’is why I have many mmorpgs! read more

-=The Path to Perion=-

Despite the closeness they shared in proximity, the lands of Ellinia and Perion were as different, possibly opposite, as any two lands could be. While Ellinia was a green, lush area thriving with trees, plant life, and a fairly cool temperature, Perion was a mountainous region, with little more than verying heights of rockiness gracing the entire area. Virtually no rain came down upon any inch of Perion; the land was always very warm, with a strong sun lightly baking the hardened earth. The only commonality was that Perion also had monsters roaming about, and even then the creatures were overall vastly different. Despite the slightly harsher atmosphere the canyon of a region presented, there were still numerous islanders and adventurers roaming the land for various purposes. read more
