Viper series extra: character subs

Okay, I have a feeling I’ve been overpowering this site with blogs lately, so I’ve made it my promise to make this the last one before the holidays. I know, sorry! Anything else I decide to do will be thrown on fanfiction.net.

Yeah, the title says it all, and yes, I got the idea from the Tales of a Lost series. I’ve decided that I may just have some more characters in the mix, but unfortunately, ideas are running dry. So YOU, the wonderful readers, are gonna help me! read more

The Viper Strikes Next 31: Act 1 Finale

-=The Keeper of Fear and Torment: Testament=-

The entire group watched, with weapons at the ready, as the Victorian Oni stood before them, his greatsword gripped loosely by his hand. None of the adventurers knew exactly what to do against the foe, knowing that he was effectively invulnerable to anything. Nonetheless, they knew they had to fight him somehow, lest he use his unmatched strength to devastate the city. read more

The Viper Strikes Next: Act 1 Epilogue

-=Newfound Peace and a Common Bond=-

-Dusk falls, hours after the epic clash with the Victorian Oni-

Shadow, Amber, Genya, Emma, Damien, Lance, Skye, and the Crow all stand silently in the fields, the sky now nearing the blackness of night. Almost directly above them, the dim glow of the moon provides a faint glow of light, upon where they stand. They are grouped together, their heads lowered in solemn prayer. Before them lies the body of the swordsman once called the Victorian Oni. The man, previously a warriro of inhuman rampage, was revealed to be no more than a simple human adventurer, just like the group that defeated him. Shadow’s party found this out not long after destroying the spirit that seemed to possess the warrior, turning him into the terror that once cast a shadow over Victoria. Despite the revelation, there was nothing that could be done to save the nameless person. All vital signs were non-existent after the possessive being left him. read more

-=Thankfulness, Fairies, and a Demon’s Return=-

-During his stay outside, one night earlier-

“Please, Shadow, please tell me you’re kidding about this.”

The blue, fire-decorated image of Lord Scorpion, “standing” in the palm of Shadow’s hand, was distraught from the revelation of the ebon orchid used against Shadow Viper’s group. Having been told of the plant’s non-existence in the Maple World, the assassin had no idea what to make of the revelation. The long-distance conversation through enchanted marbles played out on top of the medical center in which everyone else was. read more

-=The First Lightbringer: Hear Our Prayer=-

-A few hours after the battle in the city-

“Welcome back to Kerning News, Channel 8, as we continue with this breaking news coverage.

“In case you’re just joining us, early today was a scene of terrible tragedy, something no one in this city will likely forget for a long time to come. Five recent up and coming adventurers, ranging in ages from 16 to 19, were found brutally murdered in a devastating manner. It was all found by a rather large mass of people in a vacant lot just outside the city proper. The group of people, who had heard numerous sounds of fighting coming from the lot, gathered around to see a group of adventurers leaving the scene, apparently carrying a female who appeared to be wounded herself. They went farther in to find a pair of spellcasters performing a rare ritual funeral event that originated in Ellinia: the Dance of a Soul’s Final Freedom, more commonly called the sending. A male warrior single-handedly made sure order was kept and that the sending wasn’t interrupted. read more

-=A Party United, Part 2=-

It had been some time since Shadow’s group had gotten to Kerning City. Ever since their arrival, all of them talked to just about any warrior and ranger who appeared to possibly be chosen. Everyone they talked to was usually very powerful looking, with expensive-looking equipment. They even showed the warriors the red coin that was given to them. Despite their persistence, though, no archer made any claim to the title of lightbringer, instead usually being confused or annoyed by the talk. The same went for the warriors, whose claims were backed by the fact that none of them were able to grasp the coin; like Lance before them, the coin seemed to magically resist their touch. read more

The Viper Strikes Next: Chapter 27

-=A Party United, Part One=-

Their business in the mountainous town of Perion concluded, Shadow and his group prepared themselves to leave the town, though their numbers would be reduced. As per an earlier conversation, Lance and Skye would part ways with the group for a while.

As he checked to see that his supplies were in good order, the bandit known as Shadow Viper reminisced on the recent past. read more

Reviews for Unforgiven

link

Follow this link to the two absolutely greatest reviews on any stories I have ever written in my life. Note that that opinion isn’t meant to beat down any reviews I’ve gotten on this site.

Approximately nine months or so, as I was thinking of story ideas, this tale seemed to come to life in my head for some reason. I have no idea how it did, I just knew that it was there, and it didn’t fit with the fanfiction I do on this site. So, I poured my mind, and my heart in many ways, into this piece. This work came from many ideas swimming through my head. Predominantly, it was meant to simply be a tale of the qualities of love, trust, and teamwork being put to the ultimate test against those of hatred, betrayal, and selfishness. As I looked back on that story, I suddenly realized that it seemed to say so much more. It seemed to tell me that, though it obviously can’t happen in the game(the player-killing thing, thank goodness), many things similar to it can. Many people can find themselves with a heavy burden, usually mental thrown on them as they progress through this game. I should know; I’ve been through a bunch of them. Even though MS is just a game, it’s a game played by real people everywhere, and lots of crap can ensue when people with negative qualities(no names being thrown out btw) make efforts to grief others for some reason. Heck, it happens in any mmorpg. Certain hordelings(again, no names) tearing apart quest-related and shop-providing npcs in an alliance town is something I remember very well. read more

The Viper Strikes Next: Chapter 26

-=The Second Lightbringer=-

Deep within Victoria Island, down in the far reaches of the dark caverns, a bitter, sullen swordsman trudged through massive, seemingly endless ruins that towered throughout the caverns, reaching almost as high as the ceiling. A ninja dressed in blue and black walked beside him with a more self-carried stature.

“Your success against that girl Marlene is to be commended,” the ninja said. “She had gotten too far into our ventures to be left alive. We knew you’d be the man for the job as soon as you caught sight of her. Your actions afterwards, however, were not. You should’ve left right when you had the chance, though killing the girl’s sister, which I did, was acceptable as well. Dances with Balrogs is still more than a match for you, plus you brought more attention to yourself than necessary.” read more

Playing new games

Hi everyone! Agh, I need to start blogging more! All I ever seem to think about is school and stuff like that. I gotta remember that I have a home here too.

Well, anyway, this blog is NOT going to be about Maple Story.

HOLY CRAP!=O

Well, not entirely. As you know, I don’t have the capability of playing that game up at my school, and before I knew it, I started getting sick of not being able to play Maple Story. This was actually a good long while back. Eventually, I finally couldn’t take it, and decided to concentrate on what the school DID allow to play. read more
