So, maybe two days ago, I got my hands on a 60% shoe speed scroll. I hadn’t been looking for it in particular. No, I’d simply finished that jump quest of Cheng’s and received it as a reward.

I decided I was too lazy to sell it, so I went and found a shoe to scroll. I opened up my equipment inventory, clicked the scroll, clicked the shoe, and suddenly remembered my horrible luck with scrolling: I’ve never worked a 60% scroll in my life. Even if I’ve only used two. read more

Specialty: Shockwaves.
Weapon: Shane had his weapon renovated after the decisive battle that resulted in the destruction of the Pages of Hell. It appears to be the hollow handle of a javelin, but it works like a lightsaber, except it’s the form of a spear made of wind. (And, obviously, it lacks the ability to cut through anything.) Today I logged on, and was startled to find… someone on my buddy list was actually ON! (Actually, I think it’s the other way around. I haven’t been on for almost a month!)

And so I chatted with EviIErk for a while, killing axe stumps in search of altar pieces at the same time. (Now, I was getting very ticked off at these, I’d killed maybe a thousand axe stumps, literally, to get 24 altar pieces. Who knew they were that rare?) read more

Inspired by the scroll that failed on my Maple bow.

Failure

And as I watch, the scroll
the scroll I spent a fortune on
the scroll I put my faith in
vanishes. My bow is the same
as it was before.

I am shocked.
What had I done to deserve this?
Why is fate so cruel to me?
But I guess
for every success there’s a failure.
Or it would be a hundred-percent
