Episode 16 Flight After Light
Kunai suddenly rouses from deep unconsciousness, rising to a sitting position. Ivy and Arai immediately look over at him, rising from their seats instantly to rush to his side.
Kunai raises a hand up to the side of his head, rubbing it with a soft sigh. “Ugh…what happened?”
“Oh thank God you’re awake!” Ivy cries out loud, bringing a wet towel of to Kunai’s face and scrubbing his cheek vigorously.
Episode 15 The Awakening of Light in the Absence of Light
Ryuu turns and slams the doors of the sanctuary shut with a ghostly bang. Inside the sanctuary, it has become completely dark and silent, the only light coming from the glowing magic circle, and the only sound coming from the humming of the magic circle.
Ryuu raises his sword as it spouts currents of flame and lightning. “Get ready…” he mutters in a hoarse whisper, his voice echoing a thousand times in the stillness of the chamber.
Episode 14 Plunge into Darkness
Kunai snores in his sleep as he rolls over unconsciously. He wiggles his nose irritably in his sleep, then sneezes out loud. He opens his eyes wide as he sees a Cold Eye glaring down at him, its cold breath sending shivers down his neck.
Kunai’s eyes widen as he realizes the Cold Eye is in front of him. He screams out loud in surprise as he jumps backward in his sleeping bag, reaching for his Scarab.
Episode 13 Ant Tunnel Amusement Park
Many booths filled with carnival games, food and souvenir vendors stand in the midst of the large, hollowed out cavern. A huge Ferris wheel stands in the center of the amusement park, its topmost glass compartments overlooking the rest of the park. A huge roller coaster thunders its way around the perimeter of the park, filled with screaming passengers.
Episode 12 Clouds in the Sky
Down in the deep abyss inside the Ant Tunnel, Kunai, Ryuu, Arai, and Ivy slow down as their footsteps begin to echo in the emptiness of the dungeon. Spouts of steam occasionally shoot up from the ground below them, and Stirges hover around their heads, flying by loudly overhead.
Arai plops down on a rock with a loud, tired sigh. He places rests his head on his arms, staring up at the ceiling and watching the Stirges flutter by. “Well, looks like we’ll be sleeping on hard rocks instead of soft, comfy beds tonight.”
Episode 11 The Third Pupil
Deep in the lightless dungeon, several small, cramped buildings sit clustered together, built around a large hotel, emitting slight puffs of steam every now and then. Large, thick vines crawl around the small town, creeping up the walls of the tiny houses.
A bright light suddenly illuminates the small town, casting thin shadows in the murky darkness. Suddenly four figures emerge out of thin air—Kunai, Ryuu, Arai, and Ivy.
Episode 9 The Sickness of the Paradox
Arai looks quickly up at the sky. “Wherever they are, for whatever reason, we’ve got a friend somewhere…” He bends over Ryuu, inspecting his right eye closely. “Ryuu’s badly hurt. He needs medical attention immediately.”
“What do we do?” Kunai asks hesitantly.
Arai shrugs, standing up again and grinning at Kunai and Ivy. “Well, it’ll be okay. It looks like we’ll have to delay our going to Sleepywood for another couple more days, but that’ll be okay. I’ll see what I can do, perhaps phone in a doctor from Niora’s Hospital in Kerning…”
Episode 10 Gijiduny Tohief Nolat Xolawora
Kunai, Arai, and Ivy walk slowly through the crowd in Henesys as they make their way through the town pushing a large icebox, completely frozen over.
“I know we’d get a lot of questions by carrying Ryuu around, but…did you have to freeze him and make us push him like this?” Kunai cries out loud, wiping a bead of sweat off his forehead.
Episode 6 Into the Unknown
A slightly younger Ryuu stands and watches as a figure wrapped in a brown cloak wielding a Deadly Fin easefully makes its way through an obstacle course, vanquishing all the floating mannequins in its path.
Ryuu grins and claps as the panting figure removes the hood from its cloak, revealing a trail of long purple hair amid a pair of bright red eyes. “You impress even me, Ayame…”
Episode 8 Exits are Sealed!
Kunai shakes his head slowly. “No. I was stopping Ivy from opening that vial…some old fortuneteller gave it to her. I stopped Ivy in time, but this second person appeared and interfered, and released the vial. Turns out the vial was holding a Paradox, but I took care of it. Then the person arrived, and began talking about the same thing as the old fortuneteller…something about a lost phoneme?”
