I was playing MapleStory and noticed an advertisement in-game about MesoRich.com. Shortly after, a GM announced that the user was banned. I thought to myself, IS MapleStory THAT affected by secondary markets like MesoRich.com? Being bored as I am, I did some research.

The reason why Nexon bans MesoRich.com ads and other vendor ads instead of players who actually deserve it (ie those who use unfair tools) is because these websites detract from their consumers. Nexon wants to SELL their Nexon points and does not want to face any competition or detraction of sales from companies like MesoRich.com.
Q: So then, why hasn’t Nexon just banned permanently all the advertisers (lets say via IP block)?
A: Nexon GAINS money from MesoRich.com and other adverts. In order for a megaphone message to appear, companies like MesoRich.com pay $5.00 minimum to spread their slogan and testimonials. If banned temporarily, Nexon KNOWS they will buy more and more Nexon Cash and as a result increase their earnings. Nexon may publicly not support secondary markets but knows that they are a large buyer of their products. read more

Fear no more dear maplers. The GM’s are going crazy loco now XDDDD. Hackers were banned in Scannia. And loads of hackers were banned. This resulted in masses of ppl using megaphones which = cash for nx to give us good and more gameguard updates and im guessing more patches for better stuff? Well yea anyways now GM’s started Bera and im gonna guess that this’ll happen to all the servers for some time =). I can’t wait till they get to khaini and ban my whole friggin guild lol. Oh yeah i quit so no more hacking for me =) read more

i CANNOT believe this. My account, gone! The 67 page,48 f/p, 46 f/p, and 32 crossbowman with a maple weapon. All gone. While i realize that the 67 page was hacked to lvl 67 i am still VERY angry at whatever cursed slimeball stole my account. What happened was i was playing the game “hackerstory” which was posted onto basilmarket yesterday by some slimy sleazeball. I played it and guess what? i found that it was actually quite interesting. What i didn’t know was that it had a hidden secret. A keylogger that sends every one of my keystrokes to the tard who made it. And if you slimeball keylogger is reading this go sit on a bomb or something. So I hang around and see bannings in Windia. I’m like.. “Whoa, is this for real?” But I was too distracted by this to do my Homework. So not too long later, another massive ban appears. Awhile later, a kid curses out the GMs and gets banned. But I can’t stay and watch.. I have to do homework. >:[

I spent hours and hours trying to make my claw perfect. I sniped the original sapphire slain with 11 minutes left. I waited about 60 minutes to do the trade.
