Islanders, Quests, and a few levels…

Today I had a pretty good day in MapleStory. I leveled up to 28, and was finally able to wear my long-admired Purple Fairy Skirt and Top. I’ve been wanting to wear them ever since I started Mapling, where the 80,000 Mesos seemed like an impossible task. Not to say I’m rich now, but I’ve currently got 200k or so.

I’ve also managed to finish a good portion of the quests I’d been working on. I got the White Magic Shoes I wanted, (I really wanted black, but White is good too), I won an auction on Basil Market for a W.Atk 31 and M.Atk 44 Circle-Winded Staff (I think the weapon attack is above average, although that doesn’t matter for Mages), and a Int. +2, W.Def 14 Black Lutia. I have no idea if that’s average or what, but the point is I got most of my level 30 stuff. All I need now, really, is a hat…I want to get the Golden Pride, but once I pay for my other items that I won, I don’t know if I’ll have enough. I just hope I can get my items…no one has PMed me on Basil Market about meeting up yet. Oh well…I have ’til the 20th, I guess.

Oh yeah…I’m testing out code in this blog, so forgive me if it doesn’t work.

[h]Leveling[/h]

This morning, having about 95% or so, I leveled up on some boars in Perion. Now I’ve only got two levels ’til 2nd Job advancement; I’m so excited!

My sister, FaerieSword (Faerie for short), is a Warrior at level 27. She was training for a bit on her Warrior when she had to go and work on a school project, so I offered to play for her while she worked, since at the time she was level 26. And you know what, I have huge respect for anyone that plays as a Warrior. They are incredibly hard to train; at least, that’s my impression after playing mainly on Magicians. They’re always getting KSed, (especially by Magicians and Thieves…no offense to either of those two character types. I guess there’s just not that many other Warriors or Archers around), they need to be right on top of a monster to hit them. That got me annoyed, being an inch away from the monster and still having to move closer to fight them. At least she had high HP; it was funny watching her face when it went down to 300 HP, “near dying” for her, and I kept fighting ’cause I’m used to going until 100 or so HP. Anyway, once she leveled, she decided she wanted to go on a Suicide Mission on the boat ride to Orbis to see the Balrogs.

[h]Going to Orbis[/h]

So, before I had been training my sister, I had went to Orbis. Why? I don’t know…mainly ’cause I wanted to see if the Naomi was an experimental Hair Coupon or a VIP one. Yes, I know I could have just asked, but I was bored and I wanted to see if I could get the MapleStory history book on the ride there. So yeah…turns out I need the EXP coupon…I’m so sad! I need to get NX Cash, but I have to ask my parent’s permission…and I know I’ll get the speech about “virtual stuff is a waste”. Oh well. I also want to change my characters eye-color to Green…at least I know I can get that in Amoria with a VIP coupon.

Anyway, back to Orbis. Once my sister leveled up, she decided she wanted to see the Balrogs. So, she gets on the ship, quickly checks to see if the history book is there (it wasn’t), and went back outside. A few minutes later, the Balrog ship came, and two Balrogs came out! I don’t know if that’s normal or not, but I was only expecting one (I was watching this on my sister’s computer). One touch from the one Balrog, and 2k or so damage later, Faerie was reduced to a tombstone and a ghost. We continued watching, though, since we weren’t sure if pressing “Ok” would bring her back to Victoria. Once that ship left, and the screen changed…she was back at Victoria anyway. XD

So yeah…another 5k later, she and another friend of hers went to Orbis. And they explored and stuff. And then she got off.

[h]Islanders![/h]

Yeah…so since my sister had a level to catch up to me, I decided to make an Islander on the Bellocan server. Her name? “IPwnThisIsle” XD I thought it was cute. So yeah, I got her up to level 9, following a mainly Strength only build. I’ll add luck once I can one-hit-kill Orange Mushrooms, to *hopefully* make them and the other monsters miss me more. At least, that’s the plan. I really only made it for fun, so I’m not too worried about screwing it up. ^__^

My sister made one, too…though I forget what she called it. Oh yeah, iLander4Eva: specially designed to confuse people about her literacy. Don’t worry, she is literate. *nods* So that was pretty amusing…although I just now realized she could’ve been leveling up her Warrior while she was on that character. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow. XD

[h]Quests! …or not…O_o;[/h]

So, after we came back to Victoria later today, we decided to do the “Spot On” quest for our NX card things, right? Well, the quest won’t work for me!

I went to Mom and Dad, accepted the quest, and went to Kerning. I clicked on Mr. Spot…and he wouldn’t give me the dialog to get the Mouse! I went back to Mom and Dad, thinking maybe I somehow didn’t accept the quest, but they just told me I still didn’t bring the Mouse. T_T I wanted to collect all the cards…and quitting game/logging back in, and even changing channels, didn’t work either. Oh well, I’ll live. I’ll be getting NX soon one way or anything, anyway. XD

But yeah…that was my day. ^__^

[h]Pictures![/h]

Picture 1: I got the “Level Up!” sign this time…but I blinked!

Picture 2: Yay! It’s my Fairy Outfit!

Picture 3: I found the First History Book!

Picture 4: Me having fun in Orbis.

Picture 5: The pic my sister sent me of her being pwned by the Balrog…we couldn’t manage to get a screen shot of the two of them together…the two Balrogs, I mean.

Anyway…I hope you enjoyed my blog! In case I didn’t mention it, my sister’s and my main characters are in Windia. :p

Have a good day, everyone! ^__^
