Maple Adventures Series 1 Part 3

YAY!!! The last day of school is tomorrow (for me) my big bro is currently having a sleepover while I type this. Oh yea, about the pictures, I’m too lazy to get them =) I just had my fifth grade party, and my hair’s all sprayed red. I wanted to get blood red, but apparently they didn’t have it. To answer the questions of “why are they noob?” or anything related, I apologize. I must’ve confused you. This is a prologue… but if I change the name of the story, people will get even more confused. YAY… someone rated my story!! (Thanks AyumiChan!) Please rate this story if you liked it. Oh yeah…. ‘RAY I’m going to start trying on these!!!! The first two I didn’t take too seriously.

“What do you think that was?” Asked Rowen
“I’m not too sure, but whatever it was left THIS behind,” said Mike

Mike held up a piece of paper that was stamped with a red heart with the letter “H” slashed onto it. (Mind you, this isn’t a scroll) Whatever it was must’ve been important. The paper was encased in a special wax which guarded it. It looked like it was pretty well-taken care of too. There were no crease marks or wrinkles on it.

“Maybe we should ask the next person we see about it,” I suggested
“Well, can it wait until tomorrow? I’m really tired,” yawned Mike.
“That is a good idea,” replied Rowen.

I put the fire out and we crawled into our tents. That night, there was nothing that disturbed us. We all had a peaceful sleep and woke up in the morning.

THE NEXT MORNING

I was the first to wake up. I started a fire and cooked breakfast. The meal was bacon and eggs. I boiled some river water. (In case anyone doesn’t know, you boil river water to kill all the bacteria in it.) The smell of breakfast woke up the two.

“Hey look, the slumber two wakes up! It’s a world record!” I exclaimed sarcastically
“Oh, shut up,” snapped Mike.
“What’s that in your eyes?” asked Rowen.
“Oh very funny,” I replied.
“No seriously, I can see something in your eyes!” said Rowen.

She and Mike looked closely at my eyes. They saw an imprint of a dragon curled into a circle in my pupils.

“Oh, that,” I explained “I’ve had that ever since I was born. Once, a trader saw it and said: The child has the Daimaye! She was ranting on and on about the Daimaye. She told me that the mark could give me strength beyond imagination.” I shook my head “I never took her too seriously.”
“Strength beyond imagination? You’re lucky. All I’ve got is a sister to protect,” remarked Mike
“Hey!” screamed Rowen.

We ate breakfast and then set out forward. Rowen’s map said that we still had 2 more Snail Hunting Grounds to go. The snails seemed to get stronger as we moved along, killing every snail along our way.
We set up camp in the afternoon, when we were in Snail Grounds 3. We agreed to meet at camp when the sun was starting to set. I ventured around, killing Green and Blue Snails. Doing this, I got: 2,200 mesos and 3 steel ores. I eventually met a Snail. It was too big for a green snail, and it’s shell wasn’t the bluish hue that the Blue Snail donned. I went for a slash at the head, but the shell was so hard and large; it deflected my shot. The Red Snail moved at un snail-like speeds and rammed me. I felt weakened. Troubled, I stabbed at the shell and knocked it off its course to ram me. I used an uppercut and felt satisfied as steel met goo. The Snail was sent flying as I ran toward it and sent a flurry of 4 slashes at the weak underbelly of the monster. My troubles were rewarded with a Red Snail Shell, a pile of meso, and a Red Cloth Pants. This little fight of mine gave me enough exp to finish my level. I felt slightly stronger as I reached level 4.
I went back to camp with the items I gained. It seemed like Rowen was waiting for us. She was cooking supper. Mike came along sometime later. As we were eating, I remembered something.

“Here.” I tossed Rowen the Red Cloth Pants I got from the Red Snail.
“Thanks,” said Rowen, blushing.

We went and met a person the next day. We showed him the piece of paper. His face suddenly flashed dark.

“Where did you get that,” inquired the stranger.
“We found it, why?” I said.
“Let me ask you something. Why do you have the symbol of the guild that has the most notorious villains Maple has ever seen??”

TO BE CONTINUED……..

Like it? Sorry it’s shorter than normal, I have a bit of writer’s block.
