A Tomato’s Not a Fruit~ 12~

author’s note* holy crap. im on my TWELVTH!! o_O my page is getting looong… here’s the twelvth..

Raine woke up. She opened up her eyes, then yelled out, “YA DIDN’T HAVE TO HIT ME!!” then mumbled something about mayonaise. She got up, and found that she wasn’t in Pig Beach. She was in Maya’s house. “AGAIN!” She found the girl that had screamed the other night staring at her. Maya was talking to some other person, thanking him for the medicine and giving him a bamboo hat. “Hey, are you okay?” Raine asked the girl. The girl nodded, tears rolling down her cheeks. Now that Raine got a good look at her, she realized the girl was different. Different in a.. a different way.

The girl was almost see through, and she had a red glow to her skin. She had purple colored pupils, and long blond hair with red streaks, tumbling down to her waiste (crap i forgot how to spell it. Waste. Waiste. Wayste?X_X??). She wore a black cloak, and large eyes. She looked adorable.

“What’s your name?” Raine asked her softly, seeing the tears still streaming down her face. “Na..t..su..la..” The girl manaaged to choke out. “Natsula. That’s a pretty name,” Raine said, still talking softly. The girl burst out sobbing, the tears coming down, faster and faster. Whoa, what did I do? Raine thought, staring speechless at the girl. “What… h-hey, don’t c-cry..” Raine hated tears. They made her want to cry. Raine always knew she would suck at babysitting. Raine sucked the tears in, and didn’t allow herself to cry. “C’mon,” Raine beckoned the girl onto the bed. Natsula obeyed.

“Tell me your story,” Raine commanded softly. “O-okay.” Natsula continued to cry. “I-I’m N-nothi-ing. I-I d-don’t h-hav-ve a n-name. I-I’m a m-mista-ake o-of W-wizet.” Raine looked at Natsula horrified. A mistake? Natsula blew her nose on her cloak. Eww, Raine thought. She wiped off her tears, and continued, her voice now steady. “I’m a mistake. A Nothing. Some mess Wizet didn’t want to clean up. You’re not supposed to be able to hear or see me.” Raine looked at Natsula, horrified. “Sen. T-the other guy that… died… w-well, he was also a Nothing. The only other Nothing alive together with me. Now I’m the only one,” She said miserably. “I-I never knew…” Raine said, looking at her hands. “Well.. now you do,” Natsula closed her eyes as tears streamed down her face again. “Please.. don’t leave me..” Natsula cried softly. Raine held her close. “I will never abandon you. Remember, wherever you go.. I’m with you.” Natsula looked up at her, dying hope in her eyes. She’s been double-crossed. She’s been abandoned before, Raine thought, anger growing like fire in a forest. She’s never had someone love her. Before when I saw her with.. with Sen. She seemed happy, but there was a depressing aura around her. Raine grew an angry aura about her. Natsula looked up at her.

“Don’t worry, I’m not mad at you.” Raine smiled, but the aura stayed. At least Natsula calmed down a bit, Raine thought as she saw Natsula slowly fall into sleep. Raine carefully tucked her in, taking her cloak off, then staring, horrified. Her whole body was decorated with bruises and scars. “I will kill the person that did this to her.” Raine whispered, shaking with fury. When she made sure that Natsula’s hurts were tended to, she left Maya’s house, leaving Maya with 20K. “Bye Maya~” Maya nodded, smiled, then coughed.

Raine checked her inventory. She had used up about twenty orange and blue potions on Natsula. Nobody could see her. She was ignored. No one had loved her, Raine thought. Raine took a scroll to Lith Harbor and went to Pig Beach again.

godofpeace : hey raine u ok now
Raine : yes. thx for worryin but im fine and dont
ThrowsPoo : hmmm, ok.
Raine : jess u bounce back fast!
ThrowsPoo : >:D

Raine trained at Pig Beach again, but didn’t feel too up to it. She forced herself anyways. Raine spotted the snails that had shared their platform with her. Raine stopped. She couldn’t kill them. The snails couldn’t kill her, either. They paused. Time seemed to slow. Raine stared at them, they stared at her until finally a boy came and killed them. “Well, that moment lasted.. long…” Raine said, her eyes unusually dull. She had just watched her snail friends die. Blood had bursted out of their shells, exploding the shell into bits. The killer was an archer. She had watched the arrows pierce the snails skin, releasing more blood. “Get over it,” The archer that killed her friends said. Raine turned around and looked into his eyes. Shadow3155. “Well, Shadow, at least I don’t go around killing other people’s friends,” Raine said, anger streaming into her magic, expanding her hidden-MP scale. “Well, they were going to die anyways. You kill them or they kill you.” “THEN I’LL KILL YOU!!

That was the beginning of a beautiful (or gorey?) friendship.
