My ghosty-butt is rubbing against…

Man, sometimes I really hate the MMOT front page preview thing. Anyone that reads a little further down, but not the whole article, would think I’m flaming Noobishforce. Though, I’m not, so don’t be afraid! There’s a fun picture in here that is totally unrelated. ^_^

Ever since the rising love and hatred of Noobishforce, perminant beginners on Khaini have been getting more heat than Tiger. Even those that have made perminant beginners before him, such as myself, are putting up with his beef. His beef being the loads and loads of losers than can find nothing better to do with their time than hassle perminant beginners that they believe are “aspiring to become noobishforce.” I never had such an aspiration, and I never even knew the guy or had any interest in his business.

If I had a screenshot of every player that told me I’d be the next noobishforce or that I was aspiring to be him, your eyes would bleed. There is even feedback in my BasilID about him! I don’t think us poor perma’s will ever escape the fury of his huge un-fan base. xD

Screenshot 1: Taken yesterday after I returned from going AFK. Someone had come up and hassled me, even though I wasn’t replying!

Screenshot 2: Feedback in my BasilID. Lookin’ pretty good by the way. >>!

Screenshot 3/4: Though being a perma-beginner has its perks! ALL THE DYING YOU CAN EAT BABY. Crap like this is the only reason I’m not “the next noobishforce.” xD

  1. Why be a beginner if you don’t want fame? Do you play it for fun? Do you find it fun? Why make so many screenies about you being Noobishforce? You know that people don’t like Noobishforce’s personality, right? And I also can see sarcasm about you being Noobishforce.

I see that you become a perma-beginner just for the no exp penalty. Is that all?

    *Sigh*

It looks like popular and famous people get away with everything, and tons of likes.

  2. o_O Don’t you think that’s a rather sweeping generalization to make? Some people actually do find it fun. Take IndigoLove, for example. Others started off because they thought, well, why not and continued onwards because they likes where it was going.

Besides, Wyna is a friend of mine. I like her as a person, and I like her funny screenshots. The whole Noobishforce issue is just a side thing to me.

  3. How can a person NOT know stuff about noobishforce? He’s all you hear about, everywhere. xD

Also, I did perma-beginner a long time ago because I wanted to be a unique class. What better way to do that than to be a struggling “noob”? I think its fun, its interesting to come up with ways to advance, and it USED to be a less-played “class” that people enjoyed hearing about. I don’t do anything for fame. I think fame is insincere and a waste of time. Famed people are only liked because the people that like them also want to be famous.

Unless they’re cool famous people like Martin Luther King Jr. xD

Edit: Like most of the other people that use MMOtales, I was making a blog about my day. My collection of thoughts, and those thoughts were, “Man, I’m really tired of being heckled over some guy I don’t even know.” And two screenshots is considered a lot?

  4. Your opinion of unique obviously doesn’t coincide with mine. For me, unique is to play something rarely played, yes, but some rarely played class that has real, great advantages. Such examples would be a pure INT mage, and maybe throw in a special, unorthodox build, such as pure lightning.

However, I can see one great failing about beginners being “unique“. Whats to be unique about Beginners if every other class can do everything you can, plus a lot more?

About Frozen Tuna and Beginner specific weapons – They’re still expensive like hell, and they’re rare. In addition, warriors of a comparable level will still very likely outdamage you, and the gap increases over time.

  5. Wyna said: “I play games because of the people I meet, not the advantages my characters can make.”

So you are implying that beginners make more, and better friends, and others treat you better? Somewhat ironic that you stated earlier in your blog that you meet many perma-beginner flamers.

And I apologize in advance – I mean no harm. I’m not flaming you or anything, I find a great debate very interesting and fun

  6. I’m not implying that perma beginners make more friends. I do have other characters that actually have classes. I’m saying that I don’t really care wether or not people out damage me or if weapons are expensive.

Those things aren’t my main goals. My main goals are to make and keep friends, and I can do those things without having to worry that my characters are going to be out-done.

The statement that others flame you because you want to be like Noobishforce and such still stands. You really don’t want to be like Noobishforce, but want to make friends. But the Perma-Beginners take a lot of heat. So why bother?

  8. Also, I didn’t think it would make sense to mention, but my perminant beginner is also somewhat of a roleplay character. She’s got storyline for people that DO enjoy nice intellectual chats and roleplays on maplestory or about maplestory. Like the nice little forum we had before the boss-man deleted it and caused everyone to go wonky. I even have a drawing of my character.

Edit: It’s not that I have trouble making friends because of the heat I get for being a perminant beginner that I posted this. It was because I was speaking my mind, as I said earlier, and what was on my mind was, “Man, I’m tired of being heckled over this dude I don’t even know.”

Now that is a great reason. Please forgive me for my excessive quoting >_<

Well, idiots dot Maple like sand does to a beach. Since it is a free game, there is nothing that we can do about it.

    Tell me pl0x.”

And pray tell, what flame war are you referring to?

  11. I thought mentioning I roleplayed on maplestory would make you be like “leik omg das stupif” because its SO hard to even type in the little bitty chat box with limited characters per line that they give you. xD

But just giving your character a unique personality makes it more interesting to talk to. It gives you more reason to play maplestory, or be in a guild, or do things with other people because you’re investing your time and creativity into it.

And yeah, idiots are all over, but this blog is also free, so I can state my fruitless opinion on it. Good debate, though!
