Noobity Nooblet

This is the first time in a while that I have posted a blog in which the main contents actually happened in Maple Story.

So this is…like…an actual blog. Yea, has the moon crashed into the sun yet? Or maybe a volcanic eruption reduced Hawaii into a flaming hot inferno? Maybe the core of the earth just turned into a gigantic muffin?

Er, anyway. This is the story. I treasure it. It is the first event in a long, long while that has compelled me to share with the MMOT community. Huzzah.

So today I got home from work at 8:45. I rushed through my shower, and tossed the pile homework off my desk and onto my cluttered floor. I decided that I would do it in the morning.

Why am I putting off homework due the next day? You have probably all guessed. I wager all seven of my Harry Potter books that I am also not the only one who has put off some homework these last few days, for the exact same reason.

Dun dun duuun…

DOUBLE EXP, HELLYAH! *dancedancewiggle*

But continuing with the story. I had to choose which character to grind wisely. It was now nine, and there were only two hours remaining of the event.

So I picked my fighter, because she’s the unfortunate level 33, and if I didn’t train her now than I don’t think i ever will. Again. Because those who know me at all know this: I am a PQ addict. I can’t level without it! x_x

Well, I was doing great. In the first hour I was at 43%, being at 1% when I started.

And what was when the fun started.

A 30~ish sin (can’t remember the exact level because I was too busy being ticked off) came out of nowhere, planted himself firmly on the platform I was training on (in ant tunnel, you know what I mean), and commenced a KS-ing assault that I was powerless against.

Yea, anyone who has a warrior knows what I’m talking about.

So I asked him nicely to leave, and he nicely refused. Three minutes pass.

I asked him, slightly annoyed, to go to a platform that was not occupied. He refused. Two more minutes pass by.

I asked him if he had a death wish, and he pleasantly replied “I don’t have to leave.”

I ask, “why can’t you change channels and EARN your platform to train on, instead of trying to steal it?”

Yea, he gives some moronic answer that I don’t feel like typing.

Now…if we had not been in the middle of a 2xEXP event, with fourty minutes left on the clock, and me at 52% with a slight chance of leveling in that period of time, I probably would have been the one to change channels.

But that wasn’t the case. And everyone knows that I’m stubborn, that’s just common sense.

So a few more minutes pass with me and the noobity nooblet arguing, and eventually I start to get whispers from everyone else in the dungeon who is listening. First screencap. The noobity nooblet is the creepy white…thing.

A few more minutes passed by, and after a while everyone who was listening in on the argument had come to my rescue. Probably because I’m a girl, and because everyone hates KSers.

And then they started to call their friends to come. Eventually we had a preist and a chief bandit, working together with about four other people I had never met before in my life, trying to get this guy to leave.

When the idiot finally realized that he wasn’t getting a single point of EXP anymore, he signed off and we celebrated!

It was really nice to be defended by so many people…and I thanked them all when noobity nooblet finally left.

It was about time that I had a chance to see the good side of the Maple community, after going for so long thinking that it had gone and died in a ditch.

Anyway, I never leveled, but now I have some nice friends and a reason to want to get on my fighter more often.

Peace out, MMO. <3

  1. Hehe. For being a Warrior, I never encounter much KS’ing problems. Not that I don’t train much, but ‘cuz I can usually own whoever’s the source of the problem. Just in the past couple days of training at FoG, I got a 76 Hermit to admit I was better than him, and got a 7x Ranger to leave my platform as well as a 7x CB. I didn’t even use any buffs for the Hermit and CB. ;D

  2. I played on my sis’ character often, and being an i/l mage, gawrsh, it must be hard for youse’ll to be training, as my sis’ char (a dk) gets ksed time and time again ;_;

    As for idiots in the dungeon, someone’s bound to come to your aid. Which is what happened to me when a guy was teasing me because I had a flower ring D: [FLOWER RINGS ARE HAWT]. [LIVI EBEL BUM CHUM BUDDIES FOREVER]

    Anyways, I don’t like double exp, because it seems to MAKE me train and I hate grinding, so whenever I see double exp, i actually do homework instead until it’s over o 3o

    . . . Where did you get poisonus yogurt?

  4. Ganzicus said: “Oh my gawd, there are still nice people on MS? DDD:”

    That’s what she said.

    I mean, what I said.

  5. Dest1 = Waiting for Christmas

    Christmas = People buy random stuff for you so you don’t have to buy it yourself

    People = Random Stuff

    Random Stuff = 8GB USB Flash Drive from eBay for a low price

    8GB USB Flash Drive = Maplestory goes inside

    Maplestory = Played by Dest1

    Dest1 = Gains 20 pounds from overplaying and eating too many plastic tables

  6. Probably, if I can get someone to spend 20-30 bucks for me.

    And if the Server administrator dude will allow me to use the USB Flash drive without any restrictions

    All I need to do is be his slave and act real nice to him

    Then I’m in the clear

    So, yes.

    Probably.

    I can’t wait to see all my friends that deleted me >.<

  7. Get in contact with Ghost for me, will ya?

    I remember he had a haxx0r friend sometime ago…

    Last time I logged on was May o.o

  8. That’s awesome.

    I mean, if I got KSed. . . Heh. I’ll prolly like, talk nonsense until the guy leaves in irritation, lmfao.
    But then again, I wouldn’t be having x2 exp. >>;

    What a jerk. =s”

    He is? Smash his head into a stone wall for me pls. He’s the jerkiest jerk who ever was a jerk.

  10. Cheeze~ that’s because you’re just one of those lucky people who are invulnerable to KSing D: lvl 33 fighter vs. lvl 30~+ sin = me lose.

    Reves~ You don’t like it!? I wish that they had never put 2xEXP cards for sale in the cash shop, because now we hardly ever get 2x events ;<

    Silver~ That might have worked . . . I guess I was temporarily blinded by rage though

    Warrior pride, Vicelin! You just gotta keep on keeping on; never have no in your heart!
