However, listen here. In the course of the histoy of maplestory, Wizet only made 8 million dollars (researched it for my business plan for class). No, that is not a lot of money because that revenue was not made in 1 fiscal year, that is the TOTAL AMOUNT they made.
How do these people expect wizet to hire more GMs? Gms get paid like 30 to 60k per year. And how many GMs do you want? Take that number and multiply it by 45000 and you will get the average cost.
And so what if you pay for the game? Customers are not always right. Don’t let WalMart brainwash you with their slogans.

I really think there should be more GMs. Though they can’t get more unless they have more money sooo unless the members can get more money for them, I don’t think we’ll get more Gms.

Yeah, well I never really thought Wizet was particularly smart in the way they earn money. You’ve got the cash shop for people to buy stuff but a lot of use who play Maple are kids and don’t make their own money. Some might even feel guilt or have other issues with asking parents for money over something like this because it’s not an investment like karate lessons or gym fees. As a teen, the extra lunch money I saved went to my music career, not games.
I think it would have been a better idea if it was a paid game from the beginning. It’s too late to change the business plan though. If it becomes a monthly paid game, it would lose majority of its players. Methods other than online payment would also increase the number of people using cash shop, especially if it doesn’t require information that only adults can supply like bank info and whatnot (because I know kids like to be sneaky with allowance money and save them up for CDs and toys). But meh. I’m just another ranting gamer. Pay no attention to me

Actually, ages ago, i came up with an idea for Wizet Prepaid cards. Turns out that Wizet is gonna come out with it. I guess they listened to me! ^^;
Its really simple to use em. Buy a card for the price stated on the card, then just enter the pin code into cash shop. The database at wizet then makes that card invalid for further use, and boom, you have cash.
The way these cards should be made is that the number values have no equation that derives the pin. It should just be random.
a $5 card: a variable, “D” should stand for the 5 dollars. after the “D” is a whole buncha numbbers and letters. For Eg. D-jah3h394ha3
for cards of different cash value, they will just have a different variable in the beginning.
What will be so great about these cards? Simple, the fact that you dont have to be over 18 or ask your parents if you can use their Visa or Paypal.

Yes, I’m aware of them but you do realise that prepaid cards are not available in ALL countries. All I know is that in the SEA server, they’re offered in Malaysia and Singapore. They don’t have it anywhere else.

One word about this whole protest thing, pathetic. Do you people not know that Wizet already knows this? It’s a free game and hackers will ALWAYSALWAYSALWAYS take advantage of them. Stop being retards and face the facts, MapleStory will fall to hackers and Wizet will need to deal with it. If hackers are annoying, kill stealing you, bugging you, or killing the spawn you’re training on, go back to snails and train. It’s a d@mn game, dear god people.
