A Lost Spirit, Part II

I remember the whole experience so clearly.
The ragged cliff, the flowing rapids and the beautiful lady.

I had just woken up and there right beside me lay the girl who had saved me.
She was also sleeping. My clothes were put aside of me on a table.
I was wearing a bathrobe which smelled fresh from the laundry.

I carefully got up and admired the view outside.
Without waking the girl, I wrote her a letter.

Dear Beautiful Lady,

I would like to thank you for saving me and letting me sleep in your house. I left a little something as an appreciation gift for helping me in my time of need. I have left to go back home, once again thank you for your help.

Yours Truly,
The Wandering Bowman.

I quickly changed into my clothes and snuck out of the house.
I didn’t quite know where to go now since I was a wanderer traveling from town to town.
I headed north hoping to find a town where I could stay.

As I traveled, I was astonished at the sight of the beautiful sparkling stars in the sky.
I couldn’t help but ponder about that girl.
I had met her before, but didn’t know from where.
I tried to take my mind off her with some whistling.

Hours had passed and the sun had risen.
Away in the horizon I could see homes and a town.
Finally, a place to buy a new bow I thought.

I arrived there around noon, just in time for a nice big lunch.
I entered the nearest restaurant and asked the waiter for some soup.

“Wow, I haven’t had such a good meal in weeks!” I said as I got up and left some money to pay for the bill.

I searched around the city looking for a store to buy a new bow.

I came across a sore that had a sign saying “Weapon’s Galore”.
I decided to check it out. Inside the shop was bows, arrows, swords, staves, wands, and many other weapons for different jobs.

I had bought a Red Viper to replace my old and rusty Ryden.
I also bought a few steel arrows and tried them out on a shooting range.
The folks there were amazed on how good I was at such a young age.

As I paid for everything and walked out I bumped into someone.

It was an old friend of mine whom admired me a lot.

“Jason, is that you?” I asked.
“I finally found you, at last.” He responded.

He stepped back and drew his dagger.
I quickly drew out my bow and an arrow.
Our weapons were locked against each other.

We both knew that if we fought here, the town would become a wreck.
I put my bow down and walked out of the town to an empty field.
There were a lot of rocks for cover and the land was very desolate.

Jason followed me and quickly drew his Bazlud getting ready to attack me.
I took out my bow and carefully aimed at his head.

He yelled out a spell and had vanished.
I searched around the area but he was no where to be found.

When I had let down my guard he grabbed my neck and pointed his dagger toward my chest. I was trapped and could not escape.

“This is where you die.” He whispered.

To be continued…

Sorry, this chapter was a bit confusing changing from place to place.
It was also a bit choppy.
