OK the 3rd part of my Memoir. Read # 1 – 2 to know whats going on (The beginning/Coming together). Hope you all like it!

Viper jumped down and landed before Josh. Viper took out his Dragon sword from it’s sheath from his belt and readied himself. Josh just stepped back slowly sweating like crazy. “What should i do? run for the exit or try and get to the knives?” Josh thought to himself.

Viper was stepping towards him getting ready for a blow when Josh did a backflip and landed on the counter. He looked down and grabbed a big long knife which looked like a combat knife. He looked at it again and thought “Woah… when did mom let us have combat knives? Oh well gotta fight now!” Josh jumped forward clashing into Viper.

Viper easily dodged and hit Josh in the leg knocking him down. Viper jumped up and landed in front of Josh looking down at him. Josh looked up and saw Viper standing there getting ready for the final blow. “I have to do something!” Josh screamed in his mind.

Josh bowed his head, readying the combat knife in his hand. In half a second Josh launched the Combat knife right into Vipers sword arm, penetrating the skin and leaving a huge gash. Viper dropped his Dragon sword long enough for Josh to get up and grab another knife. Josh turned to Viper and aimed for his heart, “I’m not going to miss this time!” Josh called out throwing the knife with great speed and power.

The knife went a little sideways but still hit it’s target but not on Viper. Josh whispered, “Oh no” and saw the Gryphon standing in front of him with a dagger to it’s chest. The Gryphon toppled over and landed on the kitchen. Josh jumped backwards landing on the floor.

The Gryphon fell through the roof and into the fridge knocking a lolipop out. The Gryphon had enough energy left to reach out and take the lolipop in it’s mouth and chew. It got up and knelt down in front of Josh. Josh gasped at what it did.

He reached out and scratched it’s side. He laughed and jumped onto it. “What! Slain come here now!” Viper called to Slain, his Gryphon. Josh laughed, “Haha Viper, your Gryphon is know mine to keep!” Viper smiled back, “Hahaha!! You think you can take Slain away from me?!” he called out to Josh.

“Yep and just watch us!” Josh called back knocking the Gryphon in the sides. It jumped up and landed in front of Viper. Viper just did a backflip landing on a ship coming in. “Haha! you won’t win next time, JOSH!” Viper yelled out soaring off out of sight.

Josh sighed and fell off the Gryphon onto the ground breathing slowly. He was getting hurt by the Dragon sword going through his leg so badly. He waddled over to the half broken fridge and picked up the door throwing it to the other side of the room. He looked into the fridge and saw that there was 13 white potions left.

He took 2 and drank 1 and poured 1 onto his leg. His leg felt a little better but know his head hurt. He groaned and fell onto the pile of rubble on the ground. He sighed and closed his eyes feeling the Gryphon come up beside him and lay down, rapping it’s wings around him.

He smiled then drifted off into a night full of light and healing. Josh woke up a few hours later to see that his Gryphon was walking around in the rubble of the broken house that was there a few days ago. Josh lifted his back up against the fridge and wondered, “I wonder where dad is? I wonder what i should name the Gryphon… Where is Viper? When is Viper going to attack again?” those questions were floating around in his mind. He also had 1 more question he had to ask his Gryphon, “Hey Gryph… err… i mean Slain, can you talk?” He said getting up and walking to Slain and scratching him.

The Gryphon gave a loud sigh and said in a deep voice, “Yes young one” Josh was amazed at the deep and heavy noise of his voice. It was somehow deep and destructive but also nice and lovely. he shook his head getting that out of his mind. “So… Slain what should i call you know that Viper is no longer ahold of you?” Josh asked Slain.

“I don’t know young one, maybe Jake… I always wanted that name.” It replied, “Then Jake it is!” Josh said smily and patting Jake on the back. “Now one more question Jake…” Josh said turning serious again. “What should my new name be? since i can no longer use Josh.” he said. “Hmmmhhmmm….” Jake said mysteriously.

“I have one” Jake said finally after awhile. “What is it?” Josh exclaimed. “It should be….Shadow”
