Eternally… (Chapter 1)

Eternally…

Chapter 1
Start Of The Journey To Peril

It was that day where it all began…

In New Leaf City, it was the first day of the Maple Academy. A very beautiful day indeed, it was. All the students were excited as they crowded before the bulliten board, eager to find out of their placement in the academy. The masters looked on with their smiling faces, ready to teach the new young students. I found my place.

Bowman Class B
Level 40-50
Room 204

As I turned to walk inside, I noticed her standing there alone, even amongst a crowd of people. She had a timid look. Her hair was long, wavy and beautiful, black colored. Her eyes were purple and as dark as her hair. By the attire she wore, I could tell that she was a Wizard, though, I didn’t know exactly what type of Wizard she was. I sensed an eerie feeling as I passed her. A feeling of loneliness, of self destruction. I felt a little sick and I didn’t know why.

Later, after classes were over, I found out a little more about that mystery Wiz. It turns out that her IGN was FallingStar. She was an Ice/Lightning Wizard, level 48. I saw her in the hallway sitting on the floor, a box lunch scattered on the ground. She was crying as a group of females walked of, giggling in self satisfaction at the poor girl’s pain. I ran to her and sat down next to her. She lifted her head to look at me as I placed my own box lunch before her with a grin on my face. “My name is 13lueMoon. I’m in the Archer class. Here, have my lunch,” I said as I opened it for her. Inside were rows of small sandwiches that I made myself. “Oh.. no… I couldn’t take it…”
“Oh, it’s alright, I have money, I can just buy something to eat.”
I helped her up and we walked along the halls and stopped at the soda machine. Placing a quarter in, I opened my can of Pepsi and drank up. She watched and lowered her head. “Is that all you’ll be having?”
“Yeah, I don’t have enough to get a decent meal. But it’s alright. It should last me until the day is over. Then I can go home and eat as much as I want.” I tried to keep a friendly air between us, but somehow it seemed like my attempt at saving her was fruitless. I thought for a moment and I wondered what I was trying to save her from…

… in my heart I knew something was wrong… or rather, something was GOING to go wrong…

“I get picked on a lot by those girls…,” she stated, now done with the lunch I gave her. “I don’t know why either…”
“What? If they ever try to pick on you again, just call out for me and I’ll come, okay?”
“Okay…”
We sat next to each other on a bench on the academy roof. Our weapons rested next to eachother. I patted her on the shoulder and smiled again. “I’m not that popular either. I do have friends, and I’m very grateful to them. They are like my family, and they stand up for me when I get picked on too.” Star looked at me, grinning with a little bit of hope in her eyes. “I’ll be your family too and look out for you. Friends?”
Her smile brightened and she took hold of my hand and nodded. “Thank you so much.”
A gentle breeze blew across the roof. The calm before the storm…

We took the same train together back to Victoria and even lived near eachother. Star stood next to me infront of the doors inside the train, looking out of them at the world outside as I swung childishly around the poles. The train was empty save the both of us. The train passed a station ahead, and I glanced out of the window. I saw a couple standing there, kissing. It was a Sin and what looked like one of the girls that bullied Star. It was only for a spilt second though. As quick as I saw them, they were out of my sight again. I looked at Star who had a shocked expression on her face. “Star…?” I reached out to her but I stopped and realized what had happened. I kept silent and frowned as I watched what little hope I had given her, vanish completely from her eyes. She lowered her head so that her bangs covered her eyes, clentched her fists and began sobbing. I hugged her and tried my best to comfort her.

I stood outside of her apartment on the top floor. Star bowed to me and grinned half heartedly. “Thank you so much for your hospitality…”
“It was nothing! I’m sure you would have done the same!” I laughed and tried to lighten the mood, but failed miserably. The blank expression on her face remained. I didn’t want to believe that bringing the hope back into her eyes was impossible now. I didn’t…
“Star… are you… okay..?” My concern for her took over and she grined again.
“No, I’m fine. I’ll see you tomorrow….,” she said in a voice lower than a whisper and slowly closed the door infront of me.

For a while I stood there. I tried to understand what happened. The couple at the station. Was it they who triggered this?

… whatever it was.. I was scared. I feared that I had just walked into something horrific. Little did I know that this was the start of Star’s journey to peril. I prayed for her that night…

TO BE CONTINUED…

Ah, just a lil story I came up with. I got inspired by SilverFx’s own short story called “Even If” so credits to her. I hope you guys enjoyed it. I’ll be writing Chapter 2 real soon. I liked writing this story and maybe if you guys like it, I’ll write more.

EDIT: I made a drawing to go with it. ^_^ If you can’t see it well, here’s the link for it: Here

  1. You could do with some improvements with your writing, but I like it.

    Minimal spelling/grammatical errors, too. Woohoo!

  2. And interestingly enough, your chapter reminded me of an old dormant story-idea of mine.

Do try to cut down on the ellipses (“. . .” ) , and don’t put more than three in a row~ Here’s more cookies for you! *stuffs a bag of Famous Amos at*

  3. ;D Blue is multitalented (*hugs*)

Just. . . try to describe stuff more 😮 Or something.
