Okay, I have a feeling I’ve been overpowering this site with blogs lately, so I’ve made it my promise to make this the last one before the holidays. I know, sorry! Anything else I decide to do will be thrown on fanfiction.net.
Yeah, the title says it all, and yes, I got the idea from the Tales of a Lost series. I’ve decided that I may just have some more characters in the mix, but unfortunately, ideas are running dry. So YOU, the wonderful readers, are gonna help me!
Character submissions will be accepted through holiday break. You have as far as January 14th unless otherwise notified. By then at the latest, I should be ready to go with the second act of the story. Late additions won’t be accepted. So don’t oversleep! XD Um, did that make any sense?
Sorry, woke up an hour ago. Heh, no finals today.^^ ANYWAY, here are the guidelines for your character:
Name: Use your imagination. You can use names of char you use regularly, too(basically you can use that char if you like, or make up something new altogether). Names must be creative and well-thought out, none of this 1337 crap or I won’t look at it.
Age: Between 13 and 35 is acceptable.
Gender: Simplest thing in the world. NO HERMAPHRODITES! No droids, cyborgs, or robots either, please; many sorries on that, but they simply wouldn’t work.
Class: Just like the game, be just about anything you want. I have a rather balanced number of jobs already, so choose what you like. Only restriction is that your class must be 2nd or 3rd job advancement.
Level: Simply a measurement of overall power. Limited to lvs. 30-80. Please do not feel you have to keep your char levels high. I like a variety in all honesty; even low levels make for an interesting story.
Equipment: In-game equipment. Tell me the weapon they use and the armor they wear. Do NOT break level restrictions, please. Cash shop equips may be used if you wish, just keep ’em reasonable(heh, I wonder what would happen if a mesoranger got in this story!XD).
Hair:duh
Eyes: duh again
Build: Slim? Fat? Tall? Short? Tell me here! Keep looks within reason of age, please.
Miscellaneous thingies: Scars, birthmarks, tatoos, you get the point
Alignment: Good, Evil, or Neutral? Good chars will be with or at least help the lightbringer and co., Evils will be with or have some association with those multi-colored ninjas, and Neutrals…well, neutrals can be pretty darn fun. XD They may be undecided in the conflict, or prefer to remain their own masters…whatever.
Personality: What’s your char like? How do they think? What are their traits? Details, details, details! More specific=more interesting=better chance of getting in the story.^^
History: No, your char didn’t just fall out of the sky! After all, you don’t want his/her legs broken. Make it original, creative, interesting, make it good! You can make your character come from a world other than Maple Story’s, but in that history, they MUST have gotten to MS world somehow. They are restricted to ending up either on Victoria or Ossyria.
Goals: What exactly is it that your character wants more than anything else in the world? What do they really strive for? Be creative, but please keep it logical.
Anything Else: Whatever doesn’t go above, put it here!
So yeah, help me out and make a char. One submission per person please. You can place it in the comments section, or PM me with it(send all PMs to Tninja). In the end, I’ll probably award as many as six chars to be in the story, along with some consolations here and there, so I hope I get lots of ideas to look at!

Equipment: Blue Sauna Robe, Leather Sandals, Icarus Cape and Pink Bandana. Also dual Maple Swords(he isn’t very good with them yet).
Hair: Black Tristan
Eyes: (These eyes)
Build: Smallish and lean, not too muscular
Misc. appearance: Has an eagle-shaped scar on both palms. They darken from a light pink hours before a storm comes.
Alignment: Lawful Good, but will break the law if it is corrupt
Personality: Passive but kind, likes to goof around but avoids anything that could offend others.
History: He was born in El Nath, trained as a fighter, he met an adventurer from Azeroth who taught him to dual-wield, then he traveled to Victoria Island and began wandering aimlessly.
Goals: To protect his friends, to bring justice to the world, to find the lost civilization of Pandaria, and to preserve the existence of banana bread.
Other info: As a warrior, he prefers agility over strength and will try to dodge or parry attacks rather than block them. A more easygoing person, he prefers not to do anything risky unless it’s necessary. In terms of intelligence, he is ingenious applicatively, but a dolt academically.

One thing though: I asked the age to remain between the ages of 13 and 35, so change it please(yeah, I understand that older chars are interesting, but I’m not really seeing a lot of them in the future, so I’d like to keep people younger and more adventure-ish). Other than that, well done, really shows promise.

Build: A bit muscular on the arms but they have more strength than an average person around his age.
Misc. Appearence: He has a scar that symbolizes who he is on the back of his hand but uses his Dark Imperial to cover it.
Alignment: Neutral, he decides his own destiny.
Personality: Mostly a loner but has some friends that he has been seen with. He has a icy attitude from other people’s point of view but if you really get to know him, he’s the best friend that you’ll ever have. He’s probably the most dependable and dutiful person anyone will ever meet.
History: He was born in El Nath, where his father went missing and his mother died during his birth. He was placed in the care of his kind Uncle who trained him and helped him in the times that he needed help. When he was 18, he often traveled to Aiur to listen to the Protoss’ tales of the Battle between the Zerg and their allies the Terran. One day when he went to listen to some more of the village’s tales, he found it razed and burning. Zergling bodies were split open and Zealots lay there icy cold. His kindness was deeply buried that day and he traveled across El Nath, slaughtering the monsters that stood in his way. At the age of 25, he reached the Dragon Knight rank and murdered a scammer that had tried to scam him of his weapon. People saw him and inflicted the scar on his hand. He fought back and won. Eventually, he was wanted all over Victoria Island as well as Ossyria. He had a Haircut and Plastic surgery and turned out like he is now.
Goals: Still, it was long ago but he sought an end to the corrupted.
Other info: Although he is a Warrior, he can move faster than any other can move. His speed may go faster than an experienced Thief with Haste.

Hair: Black, short, thin strip of hair tied on the back for some reason.
Eyes: Uhhhhh, BLACK!
Build: Not too tall, not too short, normal sized.
Miscellaneous thingies: Small triangle thingy below his left eye
Alignment: Neutral
Personality: Soft spoken, decisive, genius, and overall an introverted person.
History: Lived in Sleepywood since he was 15, meditating with The Rememberer over his supposedly cursed birthmark below his left eye. Also comes from a wealthy family with a line of celebrated warriors, was the only one in the family except for his mother to not be a warrior. Was forced to sever ties with family as he was the only person in it to be a wizard.
Goals: Be the best wizard to ever use Poison to over come enemies, refrain from causing massive explosions with fire, and find peace in the world.
Anything Else: Uses poison to fight most of the time, as his powers in fire causes unexpected consequences. Has a blunt weapon on standby as even though he was a wizard, he had the strength with was probably inherited to carry a blunt weapon.

Personality: Friendly and rational. A quiet girl for the most part, but prefers company nonetheless.
History: Born in El Nath, during a famine. As a child, she was brought along on hunting trips because both parents had to go and there was no one to look after her otherwise. She ‘killed’ her first jr yeti at age seven.
Goals: Become a WK so she can kill and cook yetis at the same time.
Anything Else: Power Guard level 30.

Miscellaneous Appearance : A large scar that extends from the middle of his chest diagonally down to the area just below the hip, a battle wound during a fight with Satyrs before coming to Victoria Island. His teeth are extremely pointed.
Personality : A wanderer that keeps to himself so he doesn’t end up getting into too much trouble. Works anywhere for money, although he needs little.
History : A hybrid between an orc and a night elf. Was one of the survivors when the first Well of Eternity was destroyed. He left with the surviving high elves but left soon after. Doesn’t have the bloodlust of regular orcs, but doesn’t hunger for magic like the elves either. Has an extended (perhaps eternal) lifespan. Can cast simple spells such as healing and dispel. Travelled to Victoria Island after finding a portal created in the middle of nowhere while wandering around Kalimdor. Found speed addictive, so he became a thief.
Goal : To learn how to double-wield and to be able to use swords.

Build: Slim, little bit undersized (think half-head shorter than most other people)
Miscellaneous thingies: Abstract swirly black dragonish tattoo on left shoulder blade (o.o)
Alignment: Good
Personality: Dislikes talking and people, can be stubborn at times. Risk-taker, unpredictable. Able to ‘blend in’ with surroundings, and not be noticed by people. Feared by others, but also thought to be ‘mentally dysfunctional’ in several ways. Independent and dislikes limitations. Easily ticked off. Also does not eat often.
History: Orphaned at the age of four, lived a nomadic life for most of her early years, self-taught in most subjects
Goals: None o.o
Anything Else: Limited ability to shape-shift, can also ‘change’ reality for brief moments (nothing big, mostly stuff like temporarily stopping wounds from bleeding, things like that, so she can also serve in a ‘healing’ capacity)

Alignment: He’s good, but he’ll always do what he thinks is right, and take out anyone who get’s in his way.
Personality: His mind moves faster than his body can. He has a constant sarcasm in his voice, but if he care’s about you he’ll defend you to the death
History: No one knows where he came from, only that one day he arrived on the doorstep of an orphanage in Henesys. As he grew, the caretakers realised his absolute brilliance and sent him off to a master to hone his skills, hopefully becoming a great military leader someday. He began his career as a bandit, but his master realized his above average strength and dexterity. He began to teach him the lost pirate art of melee combat, which he quickly mastered. He still retained the immense speed and avoidability of a bandit, but the strength and craftiness of an infighter. When he turned 14 his master noticed a difference in his eyes. They had strange black rings around the outside of his iris’. Durring training that day, Sirus realized he could slow down time just a little but, because when he began to focus on the sparring, master’s movements slowed down just slightly, just enough to let him finally win a match. Since then he’s learned to slow it down significantly, enough so that it appears he has super speed.
Goals: TO BECOME THE SIXTH HOKAGE!
