(This is my 1st blog, sorry if this is in the wrong spot.)
I remember the good old days of playing Maple Story.. ah if only I could go back to those days. My buddylist was full, I had lots of fame, great equipment, and lots of friends there for support. My friends and I would train together, search for items together, and help those in need. However those days would soon come to an end, as boredom set in I quit Maple for about a month. When my will to become the greatest Hero Maple Story has ever known returns, I log back on to maple only to find all 20 of my friends had quit, and that Scania had become too populated.
I left Scania, My lvl 47 Warrior, lvl 40 Warrior (Both fighters), and my lvl 30 Bandit behind. As I raised my Str Bandit in Bera I come to realize that in the end Str Bandits have a disadvantage. So I leave my lvl 36 Bandit behind and head for the server called Broa. There I raised an archer to lvl 25, however that would soon come to an end when I was scammed.
After Broa I moved to Windia, and along the way I had not made a single friend. 3 different servers and not one single friend, sad isn’t it? My desire to be a Warrior again was strong, and today my Warrior rests at lvl 16 waiting for me to get my will to lvl up back. That will not be easy I think to myself, as Maple Story has lost many friendly people in 1 month.
Today I strive to make new friends and reach high levels to no avail, the repetitivness of the quest, train, level up circle takes it’s toll on me. As I train in the slime tree, I noticed a fellow warrior who was afk being beaten to death by slimes. I hurridly jump in to protect him from the slimes, after about 5 minutes he returns. He yells the 4 words that many people hear: “QUIT KSING YOU NOOB!!” (Actually it was QUIT KSING U N0OB!”) and proceeded to defame and ks me. So being the nice guy that I am, instead of defaming him back i return to Kerning City and advertise to trade fame. I get a response, someone wants to trade fame, I fame them first because I am trusting, however they ran after I famed. so I chased the villain down, only to be ambushed by his Guild.
I manage to escape with fame intact, and I proceed to try buy some fame. After being scammed 5 more times (and out of 25k) I give up on fame and finding nice people, and i come to realize as I stare at the setting sun, that I will face all my quests and monsters alone. The End (Based on a true story)
Long story short: I quit Maple for a month. I came back and found all my friends gone. I went to different servers and ended up back to sqaure one. I tried to save someone and make a friend and ended up making an enemy. 9 out of 10 people I attempt to trade with are scammers. Everyone I meet while training are 1 of 3 people: 1. A kser, 2. A ‘lone wolf” type of person (A person who trains alone), or 3. Not interested in talking and only interested in training.

Stupid people who scam, I got scammed in a fame trade and then after that I always asked for their end of the bargain first. Now plenty of people who are out to scam won’t accept my offer, but there are always nice people out there, somewhere,
I’m mostly in bera. But, I guess if you hate bera now I also have a 1x magician in windia. There’s nothing to do in windia though because after you’ve killed slimes for a LOOONG time(my magicians’s still in the slime tree. After training four characters in the slime tree and then helping several friends, it gets boring) it does get boring. So we can talk while I wait for my mp to recover. You can msg Lightfield in windia. I don’t care if anyone spams this, becasue I”m rarely on that character becasue it gets SO boring.
True, true. I had the same experience sometimes, but dun give up, miracles can always happen. =)
Somethings in maple can really annoy you, but true friendship never fades, maybe your friends have things to deal with in real life (as I find myself most of the time. T.T) but to them a friend you will always remain, and vice versa. (hopefully.=D)
Try talking to more people, and helping them out. that’s what I do, I have a inordinate number of friends in real life who plays maple too. (to boost my motivation. I wouldn’t be playing if it wasn’t for friends.) if you get really frustrated sometimes taking a break is not a bad idea. (hmmm, )

Wow, I see nice people, who know they are nice, lol. It’s good you guys tried to cheer me up, and it worked! muahaha! Anyways you guys don’t have to revive dusty characters for my sake, keep lvling your main until every monster in the game bows to you! Also, I am not lonely, if I was lonely I would be like “some1 b me friend, plz plz plz plz plz plz!” and all the other spelling and grammer errors while I beg for friendship, I’d rather earn trust, not beg until someone’s veins bust. XD I just posted here to contribute to bad experiences.

Ah just add them both if you like (one is an Assassin wannabe), I’ll be glad to be your friend. However don’t add me and when we talk, tell me that we will be together forever and ever and ever, that would be just plain creepy. I’ll be sure to add you Muffin person. Looks like the friend problem is solved, and if you guys are having friend problems, I’ll do what I can for you. Now to attempt to lvl my warrior, charge!
