l33t & Pro

Kay .. let’s have a defintion of those 2 words.

L33t = Pro / Pro = L33t.
_______

How can you be these 2 things ? You can’t. I have no idea how you become pro or l33t. High lvls … okay you played for a long time, you can kill more monsters, but are you ‘really’ that much more better ? No.
_______

Begging for Things ~ Okay, lower lvls tend to beg more freely, with less pride & dignity ” MESOS PLIZZZ ” and often tend to spell things wrong. But being me, I know somewhere along the line, another high lvl might ask one of his friend’s ” hey can I borrow that ? ” or ” yo, can I have that? ” They might not ‘sound’ serious .. but you never know right?
________

Killing more ” Pro ” stuff ~ Certain lvl, you kill certain lvl of ‘monsters’. The End. Just because you can kill Zakum … not a big deal, sure you’re a lot stronger. But to somebody that’s new to Maple, killing a Orange Mushroom can be a big thing. We all level in the same way. Hacker or no, pro or noob, we all have to kill things, buy pots and then return to killing. We all level, some faster than others. Cheats, leeching, or ksing. But we all level.

Asking About Things ~ Okay, somebody doesn’t know where to go … noob? Nah. Before you know where something is, you have to ask somebody, or look it up yourself. Natural. Okay fine, what about equips ? People who are lower lvl are usually more free to ask a stranger, ” Can you tell me how much this is? ” Can it get annoying? Ofcourse it can, but they have no bad intentions, so why not stop for a second and tell them? &I’m pretty sure ‘pro’s do that too. But they make it sound more ” professional ” like ~ “P.C (Price Check) This for me guys.” Still asking for something right?

” If you think you’re so pro ” ~ If you think you’re so pro, and you ignore a lot of the ” noobs ” you’re turning into a noob yourself. The last thing you should do is ignore somebody, if you do ~ it turns you ‘into’ a noob for being ,ignorant, mean, obnonxious, and conceited. I swear, having a lv. 94 priest then switching down to a lv. 25 magician, I’ve noticed people who aren’t in such a rush to train ad level and out lvl so and so, are SO much nicer.

Scene :
Lower Lvl : Hey can you help me get some slimes?
Lv. 35 : Sure why not, how many do you need?
______

It might not go EXACTLY like that, but when I was on my priest.
______

Me : Hey, do you guys know where to get this?
My BL : Dead silent ~ or ignoring me (cept my TRUE friends)
______

You have a choie of being ” l33t ” and ignore half the people who are lower lvl than you, or become a REAL Mapler and help people, no matter what lvl they are, what they’re wearing, or what they’re name is. Sometimes, that’s what it really takes to be an actual ” Pro ” =P

So can ‘you’ give me a defintion of my title ?

[Edit] These are just MY thoughts ~ I’m sorry if I offended anybody … but it’s a blog about ‘my’ maple experiences& the way I think . <3

  1. Agreed. Pro isn’t being a high level. It is being a helpful, contributing member to the Maple community.

1337, is nothingÂ… That’s just the ‘omg lolol i hit hier then u lolol’.

  2. I beg to differ. Time to run the gauntlet.

I do agree that l33ts are ignorant, but they’re not noobs. There is a fine line between each category, and one could belong in one or more categories at the same time.

    Pro

Its very vague. In Maple, “Pro” just refers to being high leveled. In practice, it has nothing to do with how you act – just your levels. There are many asses who are “pros” and have nothing to do but level. “Pros” could also be good.

    L33T

They are similar to pros, but they excel in a different way. They are extremely good at something, and it does not require a high level (although most “l33t” people are very high leveled). L33ts also stylize themselves by TyP1nG l1Ke D1s. They are frequently asses and ignorant braggers.

    Noob

Someone who is an ass on purpose, who is completely illiterate on purpose, makes no effort into even spelling correctly, or otherwise blatantly screwing up their English. Anyone who is an ass or a jerk could also be a “noob”, but this term is used as an insult very frequently, namely for someone who is low leveled.

    Newb

Simply someone who is new to a game. They don’t know stuff, and they ask for help. “Newbs” generally are more polite than “noobs”, or they become “noobs” themselves.

    A Real Pro

A good person in Maple, one who attempts to be literate and attempts to help others. One who is rare in the Maple community, and most direly needed.

However, you should ignore “noobs”. You shouldn’t ignore “newbs”. There is quite a fine line between each category, and one should act like “A Real Pro” whenever possible.

Before you see this as an Anti – Pro/l33t post, think again. “Pros” and “l33ts” have good qualities that others, even “Real Pros” may never obtain.

It is extremely difficult to get to their level or degree of skill, and if for nothing else, they should be respected for that.

  3. newb vs. noob
noob is an obnoxious player, whether high or low level with a negative connotation
newb, or newbie, is a low-leveled player who has to ask people what to do in simple situations, with a neutral connotation
some people don’t realize this-it is the same basic issue being approached by your blog
